Break for the door:

Shifting your weight to one side you turn quickly and bolt straight towards the door, pushing aside the waitress directly in front of you. Throwing all your weight into the door causes it to swing open and slam into the doorstop with a crack as the glass breaks, you barrel over the sidewalk into the street, the light rain on your skin feels ice cold as your heart kicks into overdrive to put distance between yourself and the officer on your heels. To your right is 39th street, across the is an alley way that leads to darkness.
