Spray painting your Alphasmart is easy and rewarding! Here’s how I like to do it.

Remove all electronics (you’ll have to desolder the battery terminals)

Cover the back sticker and nubs with masking tape (an x-acto knife helps), and rub down with 240 grit sandpaper or steel wool, then rinse with a wet towel and dry

Spray with Rust-Oleum 249058 (2X Ultra Cover) as primer, following the instructions on the can, in a well ventilated area, let it dry for a few hours

Spray your finishing paint — in this case, Rust-Oleum 365146 (Gloss Laurel Green), following the instructions on the can

Wait for it to dry and put it all back together!
