The Send key on the AS3k works great for moving files from your AlphaSmart to your PC, using the emulated keyboard. But what if you want to get your files faster? There’s an AlphaSync utility on the web, but it only works for Neo devices (at least until they accept my pull request). If you download my version, you can use it with your AlphaSmart 3000!
Just open it up and connect your device via USB. If you have the System 3 update, you should see a list of all your files. Drag and drop one of those files into an open text editor and Voila! You have all the content you wrote, within a couple of seconds.
