I got Doom 3 last night and it was creepy. It really is like any other FPS but teh Graphics are incredible. At one point I had to walk across a catwalk outside on the surface of Mars and it was too cool. The envirnment effects are what really make the game, even before the horror part starts the lights in the lower levels where you get sent flicker and actually shut off for a a min. So this really makes it unpredictable when it pertains to your ability to see. The models are great and the enemies acctually disintergrate in front of you instead of just diasappearing. I was acctually getting so intot the game I found I would have to stop playing to let my heart rate go back down.
Just my $0.02.

Hey Fred, just wanted to remind you to change the title of my big naboo shop to something like "Anemonie's Harem" or something cool...

*whines*
FrEEEeeeeed, change the name of my house pretty please with sugar on top! I keep getting tells from people who think it's a store because of the structure name. They try to get in and the door is locked to keep the public out, so they msg me and pester me "WHY isn't your shop open?"...
Save me from those annoying bastages!
By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Thursday, August 12, 2004 - 10:49 am: |
ok, ok, ok... next time I login I will be sure to go on Bloodfin and change your sign name. Promise.
By Ms. Vice (Nat) on Friday, August 13, 2004 - 11:14 am: |
Cool thankies. I may not have much gaming time eventually. John got a job in manhattan and starts on the 7th, so I'll have far less time for gaming (but more nookie is the tradeoff!). I have an RP buddy on the server who my character is married to, since I will hardly be around we are hatching plots to force our characters into a divorce somehow- which isn't easy since they've been toegther since game launch. We decided we HAVE to have a villan otherwise we'd have to act out of character to screw up the marriage... Oh the humanity.

Ok Nat they have announced that you can now transfer chars to other galaxies. However only your lickness xp and skills trans and it costs $30, but now you can come to eclipse and join SD.
By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Wednesday, August 18, 2004 - 10:41 am: |
can you have multiple chars on the same server?
By Ms. Vice (Nat) on Wednesday, August 18, 2004 - 11:53 am: |
Curses! I really hate SOE sometimes. I wouldn't transfer my character to another server unless her hard earned wealth came with her. Seriously though, I busted my ass to earn cash through mercantile saavy and now I'm not allowed to bring that with me if I move to another server?
Shiiii. I have 41mil in the bank of hard earned dough on bloodfin (it was 60 but I game some of it away), they can take their half-hearted character transfer and shove it straight up their arses. What about all the resources I've been collecting so I can rekindle my armorsmith biz? Will that be left behind too? Now that wouldn't be so bad if I could keep my money during the transfer, because then I could afford to start my business over again. But no money or possessions for the transfer? just a stripped down version?Screw that, for $30 it's a bum deal.
By Who is the (Knight_Hawk) on Thursday, August 19, 2004 - 08:52 am: |
Did I forget to mention you also lose your badges if any. And no you still can't have multiple chars on one server GF. Right now in the forums this transfer has alot of people ticked off so don't feel alone Nat, personally I wouldn't do it either.
By Ms. Vice (Nat) on Thursday, August 19, 2004 - 10:51 am: |
Yeah if I'm going to be billed $30 for a transfer they have to at least let me take my money and badges with me. No one wants to start over again, but stripping a transfered character down like that defeats the purpose of a transfer. You may as well start a character from scratch and save yourself the $30 right now.
By Who is the (Knight_Hawk) on Thursday, August 19, 2004 - 02:44 pm: |
Uh Nat do you still have any vendors with items on them? The reason I ask is you may want to empty them. There's a credit Dupe going on and SOE is banning anybody who gives or RECIEVES these credits even if its through a vendor or tip.
By Ms. Vice (Nat) on Thursday, August 19, 2004 - 09:20 pm: |
Thanks for the heads up, but I don't have any active vendors at the moment. When I left SWG a while back I auctioned off all of the elite-qulaity resources I'd harvested and saved since launch for armorsmithing, so when I came back I basically had no resources with which to craft.
Right now I'm waiting on a good iron spawn, and a good ditanium spawn so I can start sellings PSG's and Imperial PSG's. It's easy enough to make those, I doubt that I'll ever get back into full armor production again.

I've been studying the shipwright threads on the beta forum. Man things do not look good, it doesn't look like it would be profitable for the long run if implimented the way it is now. The socialist are whining too, they feel a sense of entitlement to the top of the line ship- even though they can't afford it for the life of them.
By Who is the (Knight_Hawk) on Thursday, September 30, 2004 - 08:52 am: |
Yeah Jon and I figure that it will cost between 750,000 and 1mil at least for a YT.
By Who is the (Knight_Hawk) on Thursday, September 30, 2004 - 08:53 am: |
Oh and that's if you price for parts.
By Ms. Vice (Nat) on Thursday, September 30, 2004 - 10:00 am: |
Expect to pay around 1 mil for the chassis alone. I figure it's something that not anyone should be able to afford, I mean, it's a ship not a speeder. Most people in the SWG setting couldn't afford ships of their own either. Kinda like wanting to trade in your fast car for a 747 or a harrier but these things don't come cheap
By Who is the (Knight_Hawk) on Friday, October 01, 2004 - 03:02 pm: |
Well one of my plans is to have my alt be a shipwright so I'll just make myself free ones you know. I also plan to make it a tkm so I can also make money and defend myself on harvester runs.
By Ms. Vice (Nat) on Friday, October 01, 2004 - 05:01 pm: |
always good to have an alt for a sugar daaddy
By Who is the (Knight_Hawk) on Monday, October 04, 2004 - 09:08 am: |
It's also good to have an alt for the sheer number of Extractors needed for shipwright.

You'll build me a YT, right, D-man?
By Who is the (Knight_Hawk) on Wednesday, October 06, 2004 - 10:54 am: |
You'll have to wait till you master your piloting tree but as it stands I will only be building the weapon systems, Jon will be building the ships. We're gonna tag team it.

Yes I was one of the people who stood outside of a store till midnight waiting to get my copy of Halo 2. I got home around 1:10am and slapped it into my X-box. All I'm saying is "DUDETHEFRICKINSTORYISAWESOMEANDTHEGARPHICSROCKANDTHEUSEOFTWOGUNSATONCEISINCREDIBLE."

Halo 2 was cool I finished it on Friday morning after I got home from the accident and had made all my important calls. Well looks like I'm gonna be busy for a bit since Vampire the Masquarade: Bloodlines, Metroid Prime 2 Echoes, and Half-Life 2 all come out this week.

Yah Fred I must ask for a rush order on the name change. My Shipwright shop is open and with competition starting to climb, I don't think "ane's guest house" really helps my sales any. So *poke, POKE* can ya change it pleeease?
By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Monday, November 22, 2004 - 11:35 am: |
I shall login to Bloodfin tonight and change the sign. Sorry for the delay, but I have been busy and haven't gotten onto Bloodfin to take care of that.
Also, Dec. 5th should be ok. You know what I mean.
By Ms. Vice (Nat) on Monday, November 22, 2004 - 02:01 pm: |
Cool.
List the following in your personal order of preference, 1 being best and 10 being "meh".
Vanilla Canollis
Chocolate canollis
Chocoalte covered chocolate canollis (*plays homer drooling sound*)
Small fruit w/custard tarts
Millifogni (kinda like a napoleon but with barvarian cream instead, no rum)
Napoleons (they have some rum in them)
Italian Cheesecake (the ricotta kind, not the cream cheese kind)
Vanilla/chocolate Lobster tails (crunchy puff pasty + bavarian cream)
I hope you're not on a diet yet. If you are I can scrounge around for a fruit tart or something. Please keep in mind that the humidity of the day will effect the crunchyness of puff pastry and canolli shells.

Fred. Like my buddy Joe, you need assistance in becoming italian. It's ok, he still thinks lasansa without ricotta cheese is acceptable. ;)
How to spot an Italian or Italian in training.
1. We don't accept Ragu (or any jar sauce) as homemade. You can't buy in a jar the kind of love needed to make a good homemade pasta sauce from scratch. How can Ragu compete with an Italian grandma who grew up in the old country?
2. We never pass up a bottle of wine with dinner.
3. We don't accept supermarket produced italian bread as good italian bread. It has to have a nice thick crust, and come from an italian bakery.
4. We like canollis and we like them with ricotta cheese filling. The french piss us off for putting custerd in them.
5. We like italian cookies and light up when somebody brings us pizellles.
6. We know what gnoochi is.
7. We understand that when you visit my grandma she will be insulted if you don't have seconds..
Food is love kapish?

Man I need to upgrade my computer real bad... So many cool games I am missing out on. Lets see, Half-life, SW Battlefront (or something like that- Fred was whipping my ass in that game) and SWKOTOR are on my list but poor bubbles is too old to meet the minimum req's.
By Who is the (Knight_Hawk) on Wednesday, December 08, 2004 - 10:21 am: |
swkotor2 won't be out for the computer till 2/05 so you have time Nat. Oh and yes it was SW Battlefront he likes that one so he can get you from the sky in one shot and you have to shoot him several times to kill him.

The interface is amazing. If you have the means and have a four year old nephiew who likes to beat you at bowling.. this is the console game system to have.
