Deadwood City, A New Begining

This is a story topic set in the old west.
The town is Deadwood City, Colorado. The year is 1880.
Dodge City is northeast, about 4 days' ride.
Rocky barren mountains and Desert trails suround the city. The railroad has a branch to the north, in Dodge, but nothing near here. The town has a Hotel/Saloon/Casino, a Blacksmith, an abandoned Law Office, a General Store, a Church (usually locked since the death of the preacher), a Stables, a Western Union Office, and a Bank. Other buildings and businesses come and go, but these have remained constant.
The entire region however has a very high crime rate. Bandits, bank robbers, despardos and gunsligners all frequent the area. The law has given up, ever since the Deadwood City War five years ago. In that single event, the town lost half its population, its sherriff, and several deputies, resulting in the Marshall's resignation.
For reference, the following list of movies should offer a glimpse of the spirit of what this topic's general feel and characteristics should be:
Maverick, Tombstone, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, Support Your Local Gunfighter, Unforgiven, Silverado, and just about any western that John Wayne ever starred in.
Still, a little fun will be acceptable. Remember the Three Amigos? :)
Still, whenever possible, historical accuracy will be a must for maintaining proper realism. You guys n' gals do remember your history don't you? :)
