I need a vacation from my vacation... My head hurts. You want for me to write some kind of action sequence? I'll think of something, nice and long--with lots of good stuff for every character. I hope to have it up tonight. I promise. I'll think about it all day, then type it up when I get home. L8R!

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Oi!

Well, no pressure or anything, but we're all waiting on you Fred =)

Faye- I'm kinda leaving what Leilani's hostage has to say up to you in case you had something planned. I don't know who ya had in mind for Barge's captors, so lemme know what ya had in mind. Would the Yakuza give Barge to Fujiyama, or keep him for a while and hope to catch everyone else so they can hand everyone over all at once?

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

I was thinking about that. Since the word is out in the international district, and it does not appear the Hiroshi was particularly circumspect in his search, I thought it could be a Yak chapter - any one will do, but not GD- they (the Yaks)pretty much drove the tongs underground in the International district according to the history. Only the Soulpa rings are more vicious and I already said they were speaking Japanese not Korean. So I think it's someone who is using Barge as a lever toward collecting the reward out on any or all of our heroes. You can use him (the captive) any way you like in such a light, I have no need for him to survive even, he will have served his purpose when we wring info from him. Rack 'em up if 'n you want. I may try to get back online later, but there is no garuntee I can get anything written, and I don't want to hold you up if you're feeling inspired. Have fun.

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

As promised... ;> Faye, if you're wondering where the rest of it is, I decided to break it down into two (mebbe more) parts 'cuz its getting tired and I is late... Or something like that. Anyway, hope that rolls the ball forward a step or two, at least. L8R!

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Woo hoo!!!

I shall read it as I eat my yummy breakfast, and wash it down with my tasty refreshing beverage of darjeeling tea.

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

There's still more Ray/Dallas stuff on the way. Also, I dunno if Crane wants to tag along on this one or not, but I think you'll be startled at what happens with Jiro and Hiroshi and Barge and stuff... ;> L8R.

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Umm.. Just one thing....

Spyder and Crane are not in the bolt-hole, so I dunno why ya took the story back there. You might wanna change it. They left to meet Leilani somewhere in the underground, I kinda thought it was clear. Surely you don't think they'd stay in the bolt-hole knowing Barge was captured =)

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Yeah, he'd tag along. Just let me know what ya have in mind. Email me or drop me a line on Mr. Telephone.

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

I just mailed you an edit, greyfred, but I see you changed it already - okay with me. read over the edit anyway and see if you wanna incorporate it. You were right, both guys sound a little stilted. Now I gotta go read the new entry, back later.

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

Umm, I shall clarify the misconception. Ray and Dallas needed to go to the bolt to get their stuff, I assumed, I just did not put the in-between part about going elsewhere underground in there (I told ya I was tired). I shall edit and you shall re-read...

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

Is that better? ;>

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Just assume Spyder and Crane took Ray and Dallas' stuff with them when they left (which they would do, I mean why leave anything behind in case the Yaks get the location from Barge). Less for u to worry about =) Go get some sleep bro. Mebbie take a power nap or sumthin if the boss ain't watchin'.

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Oh. I was typing my last post just as you finished the edit. Me sowwwwwy. I hoped you would have read it in time but I wuz too slow.

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

I'll leave the interrogation to you guys. I'm assuming the goon will eventually crack and we'll get a location. When that happens, phase two of my post sequence will take place...

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

There and I posted to that just now. Who'd a thunk it....

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Does anyone else want a go at the interrogation scene?

Or shall I do something traditionally grusome?

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Lemmie have a go, then I'll leave breaking Yuki's spirit to you =)

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

No, heavens, break away. Leilani is the one who gets to kill him after all. Crane hasn't gotten to be nasty for a while and he's due. Some heavy duty pent up aggression as I see it, have at it....

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Crane's reserving his anger for Fujiyama, he's just itchin' to kill him. I'll see what I can whip up during my lunch break at work =) I've got a post started, just haven't had enough time to finish it.

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

Shall I have Dawson shoot off a couple toes? ;>

By Vengence is Mine (Knight_hawk) on Unrecorded Date:

I posted what I said I was. unfortunetly I lost the origianl post so this is a rehash from memory.

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

"Numbah eight?"

(come on Fred, play along!)

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Ick, I hate eight, bad number. But it sure looks like there'll be a meet up sooner or later, don't it...?

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

>BELCH!<

:)

(It won't let me do my normal smiley cuz it thinks I's using carrot-brackets to contain something...)

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

"Numbah eight?"

(C'mon Fred, one more time!)

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

>BELCH!<

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

"Numbah eight?"

(Fred, I don't think anyone else gets it L )

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Getting a little impatient there Faye? I don't blame you, I'm a bastard it's true...

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Nah. I just thought I'd balance what happens to Yuki and what happens to Barge. We all know what the end result for poor Yuki is gonna be, but whatever the outcome for Barge, he will be fragged up if and when our guys find him. Think about the logistics of getting a 9 foot tall 750 pound troll with (at least) one missing foot out of hostile territory. Yeesh.

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

By the way, Nat, when is Crane gonna realize he's in love, cynical bastard that he is? :)

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

A 750 pound troll... How do you write around a hernia =)

Faye- to answer yer question, I have this problem, see. I like to complicate things. When I first created Spyder and Crane I had absolutely no intentions of a romance between them, just a close friendship/working partnership. Then Fred put that sick idea in my head and it stuck, we all know how Fred likes to instigate trouble =)

Anyhoo, it kinda involves their history and they're both REALLY stubborn. After 20 years of platonic camaraderie they're not used to thinking about each other in a romantic light. Such conditioning takes a bit of time to undo, and won't happen in this storyline…. But I will plant the seeds for it =)

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

Why not? Perhaps 20 years is just enough time to realize one cannot live another day without the other. ;>

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Because I say so, that's why =) I've got my reasons. I'm just too lazy to explain them at the moment =P

By Vengence is Mine (Knight_hawk) on Unrecorded Date:

Well I tried something new. Fred must talk to you tommarow of where this mission will go. I don't want to tread on toes.

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

It wasn't just him. After reading the Crane/Spyder byplay it was the first thought that hit me. They were actually in love but didn't know it - but yeah, I can see where that stubborn comes in. It was a completely independant observation/speculation.
And after twenty years the whole Chou thing was the worst thing to happen to them personally (discounting Nights of Rage which was more general)maybe that will get the base emotions percolating - slowly - but finally.

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

See, Faye gets it! Knew she would, knew she would! Crane also feels guilty about introducing her to shadowrunning (she had a very normal life beforehand) so he's always been a little protective, and even more so after surviving Chou.

I should pro'lly go out and rent "When Harry Met Sally" since I've never seen it before.

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

If nobody writes anything in SR soon I think I'm gonna hafta. Had a weird dream last night involving bad guys, vicious hand to hand, and I think a poltergeist. If that doesn't get thinking SR, what would?

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! She's twisting my arm!

Alright, alright, alright.. I'll have something up by tonite (8 or 9-ish), promise. I've been draggin' my sore arse long enough on this post I've been workin' on. It shall be complete.

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Okay, I'll write around it.....I think I can do a tie in. Yuki will be great for confirmation and any other new info you want to bring into it. :)

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

Dare I read it??? ;> I just up and decided to start working out again today. Put my karate gi on and just went to it. Stretched out for about an hour, then did some crunches, some push-ups, and some kicking exercises. I'm taking a short breather before moving on to some forms, but I gotta confess: my entire body is trembling. It feels wierd. I must be doing it right. L8R.

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Something to keep ya from getting bored =) If you did it right you should feel it tomorrow. On the same note, if you overdid it you'll feel it tomorrow too =)

I wrecked my abs. They hurt so much that I can't even do crunches- not even ONE. I can't laugh or cough without severe pain.

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Okay, I posted something. I have more but it is very choppy and I am too tired to keep my eyes open right now. Nat MUST sleep.

I have some more stuff but it is choppy and rather empty (needs development). There are two options: you can wait for me to finish, or I can send it to Fred and see what he wants to do with it. Mebbie another collaborative write?

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

Send away. I'm prolly gonna write something big and epic tonight.

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

Alrighty, I just finished proofreading and stuff... Boy, oh boy, did I ever sink our heroes into a big 'ol pile of doggie-doo. 3 things I needsta mention:

1: I left it open-ended, just in case anybody else wants to write some action sequences for their respective character.

2: Somebody should probably figure out that there wasn't enough time between the explosion and our guys showing up to remove Barge, and so we should look for him here.

3: This would be the field-test of those super soldiers Fujiyama's been working on. They should be very tough opponents. EXTREMELY tough opponents. Of course, he doesn't know Crane tagged along, and so I've allowed for him to become a wild-card figure. If Ray and Dallas can hold off the super soldiers, it would allow Crane time to search for Barge, and even rescue him from the 4 or 5 inept guards who are loading him into a van and trying to drive away, hint-hint Nat. You wanted Crane to do something big and important? Here's your chance! ;>

Also, I left it open-ended becuz I is tired and will prolly go sleep now. G'night! ;>

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

Oh yeah: Fujiyama is observing through the eye-cams in the super soldiers. They should prolly also have cortex bombs--you know, as a failsafe. Also, they should all have spurs, boosted reflexes, smartgun links, and other kewl cybernetic implants, not to mention those nanobot thingies. Hand-to-hand fighting with these guys, even for our a physical adept, should be considered a lethal mistake. L8R! ;>

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

A'ight. I shall brainstorm.

*Heee!*

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Ummm. just a question. does that mean that Tyler (Numbah eight?) has a cortex bomb too? That would kinda suck.

Oh, and as far as big and important goes- I was thinkin' more along the lines of Fujiyama since you guys got to kill Chou =)

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

OK. Nicely done guys. See, I was right to light a fire under your buttocks. The only thing that I would edit is the fact that Dallas, though eager, would actually agree with Dawson about not chasing the baddies away willy nilly with out checking the building first, but that's just cause he's mine. He's actually fairly cool and collected in tight spots as has been demonstrated before.

Now, as to the rest of our fight. Is this gonna be yours, greyfred, or do you want contributions and/or input?

Do the super soldiers have dermal plating? That's decent against gun fire but how does it stand up to Dallas' slice and dice arsenal? That leads to another question - did our guys grab some extra arms from the Underground before this little jaunt, or are they out here in thier weaponry skivvies as it were?

And yes, even if Crane rescues Barge - or, hell, I can have Dallas do that if you want Crane to create mayhem - I think Crane deserves to pop Fujiyama in the end - after all, he's taking all of this rather personally. Can't imagine why. The only question is is it going to be up close and personal or perhaps a bomb and an intercom to let him know it's coming.....

I'll probably have more thoughts and questions later.

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

I was figuring we grabbed extra armament--you know, maybe put it in the trunk of the car... ;> OK, well maybe since Tyler already had his own 'mechanical upgrades' as it were, the scientists didn't really see it necessary to do anything more to him. As far as the fight goes, whoever wants to take a shot at it, go for it. I was thinking of some stuff for Dawson, but that can be a separate post altogether. And yes, Faye, they prolly got dermal plating. Though, I dunno how effective Dallas would really be up close, since they gots spurs and nano-thingies to give them a range advantage as well as a physical healing advantage.

It should prove interesting. Must pester headhunters now. Goodbye. ;>

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Well, there is the whip. He can stay about five or six feet away and still slice and dice, but I expect they have those bang bang things, so I don't think I'll be putting Dallas in any hand to hand with them right quick. He's good with things that go ka-pow, but tends to be meticulous - say a shot to the left eye as opposed to an smg on full auto, but he can do, and has done either. Some of it right here in these stories.

I've been thinking that maybe it should be Dallas who goes after Barge for a couple of reasons. 1- Dawson and Crane are great for large scale carnage, and I figure not one parked car, or one nasty on this street is going to make it through this. 2- Dallas is the one who feels he has to get Barge back, the one who feels at least partially responsible for Barge's situation. 3- Dallas/Barge dichotemy, just the mind picture is worth it, plus since they are both my characters, I can decide how bad off Barge is and if I want him to survive this. 4- I think Dallas will be more effective in the sneak and find than in the street fight. Then he can "rescue him from the 4 or 5 inept guards who are loading him into a van and trying to drive away" that sounds like a Dallas job. Opinions?

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

Sure. I almost forgot the fact that we still have those earpiece radios. They should come in handy. And Nat, if you wanna write Spyder and Leilani showing up, no problem, I kinda expected it to happen fairly soon. I'll just worry about the mechanics of Dawson and at least one of the big bad guy thuggy super-soldier fellers. ;> We shall discuss things this weekend, Faye. L8R!

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

I just re-read my post again. Even though it took me like 2 hours to write, it reads very quickly. I found myself wanting more, being upset with myself for not writing more... Dang, I guess that's the price I pay for leaving certain issues unresolved, huh? ;>

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Creation is a hell of a lot harder than consumption. The nice thing is if you can create, you can always do more later. :)

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Justa thought- mebbie getting Barge back should be a group thingy, I think our characters would probably stand a better chance if they stuck together against those cyber-soldiers (at least until Spyder brings the war party). Our characters prolly know better than to assume two soldiers is all that Fujiyama has to dish out anyway, considering the trap and all.

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

True, but how. The two supers are between our guys and Barge. Barge is in the middle of being kidnapped a 2nd time, it's a case of hurry up here if the guys are going to rescue Barge before Fujiyama gets his hands on him. Has Crane got some things that go bang in a big way on him? Spurs and nanos won't mean much if we can blow them apart....

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

SR - I think that unless someone comes up with something viable for a team effort, I'm gonna run with the division of labor angle. 'Kay.

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

M'kay.

I think u are right. Dallas should go to rescue Barge while Dawson and Crane hold off the super soldiers. I wuz gonna post somethin' late tonite.

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Once again, another afternoon/evening WASTED at my aunt's house thanx to computer issues and her stupid internet phobia (long story)- which means no time to write for shadowrun tonite (just got back). I expect to post soon, but not tonight.

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

I just got bak too... And read my 11 emails... Responded to some, and then checked here. I's goin ta sleep now. I might write sumthin tomarra or dee next day... G'night!

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Found a website, looks kinda nifty.

Shadowrun Writer's Forum

There's a yearly SR writing competition mentioned there. Mebbie we should send some of our stuff for next years competition?

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Arrgh. I'm sorry guys but I'm sill not done with my post. Don't mean to hold ya up. I'm gonna see if I can get some more done tomorrow morning.

Me tired....

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

M'kay, I posted sumthin'. I wish I had extra time to polish it up some more, but my free time has been non-exitant lately. Anyway, I hope what I posted is OK with everybody.

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

I made some minor adjustments. They choreograph the action slightly better and display a slightly higher level of lethality for the soldier-boys. I also thought it would be kewl as well as smart to have Dallas remove the gun-hand of the one soldier before trying to get in a fight with it (guns have a longer reach than a filament whip). Overall, the action is good, the visuals are good, and the feeling of "oh-my-God-we-can't-win" hopelessness is present. I just added some seasoning to bring out the natural flavor of the meat that was already there... ;> I think I'll have Dawson kill one in my next post. Yes, they can be killed. Well, at least disabled until one of the techs can do like, a day's work on them. Though, if the body is destroyed, there's pretty much no coming back from that. Should I write for the deaths of Leilani's friends, or does somebody else wanna do that? Is Leilani gonna fight, or run inside to try and help Dallas? Hows Spydie gonna do in all this? Just thoughts. Mebbe we can straighten them out before I write, so mebbe I can address them in-story. L8R! ;>

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

I just started Dallas' run. I think if the cyber boys are taking a beating, Fuj might toss in the one he had in reserve (Damien?),but I think our side should lose one maybe two cannon fodder. We can't take these guys out without a scratch after all. I think, also, that as eager as Leilani is, a)she doesn't know where to go to 'help' Dallas unless one of the others tells her, b)she's all blood lusting and would probably like to finish her blood bath before gentle activities like rescue. That's just my opinion, though. Depending on how long the fight above takes, Dallas can always call in the Marines when he finds Barge.
I'm gonna try and get Dallas to Barge either today or tomorrow. More later in any case.

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

This is really funny, but I was actually considering sending the post to you, Fred, for revision since I didn't have time to smooth out the rough edges=) Though, I would request a teeny weeny edit to the changes you made. The word "disbelief" was repeated between "Dawson and Crane could only stare..." and "nearly stuttering in disbelief"

Spyder is very good with a gun, but nothing else combat-wise beyond a kick to the groin. She'd try to stay out of the way as much as possible and leave the fighting to the experts, but would help with shooting down the supers.

I also left off with Crane's aim at the back of the super soldier's head in case you wanted to do the cortex bomb messy thingy- or we can save it for later.

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Faye- Fred and I talked about the existance of a loading dock and acess ramp driveway in the basement; I dunno if he mentioned it to ya, let us assume it would have been on the blueprints. It's kinda why I had Crane note where the elevator was.

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

I kinda figured there was a way out. Its a loading dock down or AV up kinda choice.

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

I dunno if I'll be able to write anything for SR this weekend because I'll be busy chillin' with Fred! Woo hoo! Par-tay!

Faye- I'll bring some almond cookies or sumthin' for you, Eric and baby Uberman. Let me know if ya don't like almonds.

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

I have a computer, Nat. It's always on the internet. Why, then, can't ya post from here? After all, I do... ;>

By Vengence is Mine (Knight_hawk) on Unrecorded Date:

I have a post for SR but can't post it till tommarow hope you guys will like it.

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Fred- becuz I'll be too busy chillin' wit' you. Why else? Besides, it takes me a lot of time to write my stuff. I wouldn't wanna waste that rare hang-outness time just to write for SR.

Damien- Why can't u post it until tmmw? We all wanna read it now =) *poke, poke*

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

I like most things cookie-like as long as there is no nasty coconut in them, the Overlord is much like me, the hubbyness eats few things that are cookie-like overall. If our self control holds there will be home made Toll House cookies to be et too. Cross your fingers, I make no promises at this point :)

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

I forgot my in topic idea I was so flustered by the thought of cookies....I was thinking that our guys are involved with quite a noisy little fight right now, perhaps the local law will be showing up...that should lead to sme interesting fast talking, hmmm?

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

MMMmmmmmm.... cookies....

Dawson is ex-Lone Star, so mebbie he could be of some influence. Either that or maybe we could all duck behind the super soldiers and hope the cops get into a fight with them while we all sneak away. Or we could just kill them too... Don't mind me, I'm just babbling.

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

Killing Lone Star bad. Cookies GOOD. Mmmmmm...

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

Hey, Faye... See ya later tonight... ;>

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Ta-da. Dallas has won through to Barge who actually survived (so far) Yes, I know I gave no indication of how badly either of them was hurt. That was intentional so deal :p But rest assured both are ow-ied to one degree or another so extraction is gonna be interesting.

Oh, and killing Lone Star VERY, VERY bad. But there is nothing wrong with some of us slipping away into the night (Crane?) while others (Dawson?) handle the cops. We'll see how it goes if our guys survie that long. ;)

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Yah, Crane would slip away if he knew Dawson would talk Lone Star down, especially since he's got explosives on his person. Fred and I had a little talk about that. Spyder would hang out and flirt with the officers to make them more impressionable.

I'm gonna go an read Faye's post now =)

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

Kewl. I shall have something tomorrow. I think this next round is gonna be a super-soldier sorta-victory... Then we manage to kill one, like for-real dead. Then the backup should arrive (numbers 7 & 8; yes, this means you, Damien). I dunno how you wanna deal with that, but there might be something happening between Tyler & Spyder which may be a hairline fracture in the mental conditioning. The only way I can see it working is if Samson had Spyder in a situation where he was gonna kill her, which would trigger the memory response in Tyler (since Samson killed Blaze, who was Tyler's fiancee, who looks a WHOLE LOT like Spyder, especially since the hair-dye) who would turn on Samson, taking Spyder and running or some crap like that (I know, very Universal Soldier, but it's the only thing I could think of that may work enough to break the mental conditioning).

Then Nat could write the whole thing where Spyder convinces Tyler to join our side. I like it.

Oh, I was thinking of making Dawson getting hurt on this one, too... So don't feel all alone Faye. I was also thinking of killing one or two of Leilani's buddies. But definately, at least one soldier-boy is gonna die. I need sleep now. Goodnight.

By Vengence is Mine (Knight_hawk) on Unrecorded Date:

Sorry Fred but my post delt with fight no. 1.

As to why I couldn't post yesterday
a. my comp. is still not connected to the internet.
b. I can only use the comp. in the library everyday, and I already had the post typed up and didn't feal like rewriting it.
c. That means I have to wait till I get to my Comp. class on Mon., Wed., or Fri.

Hope you all like my post, I thought I got the charecters well enough.

By Vengence is Mine (Knight_hawk) on Unrecorded Date:

Fred why all of a sudden is it my turn to get my character in and you nominate someone else to write it? ;)

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Whoa. All our red-shirts are dead... Eeeee!

BTW- was Blaze human? Just curious.

Since Tyler was so cybered-up that they couldn't put a cortex bomb in him, does that also mean he lacks the cameras and tranceivers for Fuji's viewing pleasure?

About getting Tyler to switch sides- wasn't he initially hired by dragons to find Dawson and help him? So getting him to switch sides after the conditioning gives way to his former self won't be too taxing, would it?

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

Ray likes overkill. 11 bullets through its skull. You think its dead? ;> Nat, right now might be a good time for one of those makeshift bombs or something... Ball's in your court now. ;> Ray has 1 bullet left, and if anybody wants to write about it, he was shot in the left shoulder area. Shot went clean through, but there be much blood. Yes, Dawson's wearing armor, but Fujiyam would have counted on this and is using teflon bullets and armor-breakers. He's mean. ;> By the way, I'm figuring those Ingrams are smartguns, and I'm figuring the one Crane just acquired was recently reloaded. Play nice now, kids! ;>

By Vengence is Mine (Knight_hawk) on Unrecorded Date:

OOh I'm out of breath and shaking all over after writing that. I hope you all like it.

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Damien-

Nice, but could you please do a few edits for me? I will see u tomorrow at Faye's to discuss. I think the characterization needs a little tweaking and some input from the other authors.

Based on my previous writings and posts, Spyder and Crane are the antithesis of your recent portrayal. Sorry, but I really think you got them wrong.

First of all, Spyder is not good in hand-to-hand BUT I did mention that she can hold her own with a gun. She wouldn't scream and wilt away, she's a fighter- not a shinking violet. Crane is also more concerned for her wellbeing than worrying about his fleshwounds. If anyone so much as lays a hand on her, he would put himself in DIRECT peril to assist her.

You might want to think about consulting the other authors, that's what I do. Sometimes I even send my drafts to Fred before I post them, as a revision process- and it's very helpful. I'm not very good with writing action, and sometimes I'm just too busy to refine my rough drafts. I turn to the other writers for support and advice. Your ideas are great, but it looks like you posted the first draft as a final copy. Tomorrow we shall have a rare opportunity to discuss SR (if Eric doesn't object =) and all of us will eat cookies and cake and be happy.

If you guys read this in time, please gain access to a printer and print out all SR posts from Barge's capture up to the present. That way we'll have a reference.

See ya tmmw!

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

You guys broke the elevator! Now how is a 160 pound kid gonna get a 700 pound troll out of the basement? Sheesh!

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Body count...okay in the battle zone both inside and outside the bay where much of the action seemed to have been focused we have: Hiroshi, Jiro, and eight others; one troll, two orks, and three cyber soldiers sans heads. All of these are dead, yes. Did I miss anyone? Leilani, is alive and I believe wounded, but she's still there, right? but I'm guessing that neither Crane nor dawson fell to Fujiyama's evil plot and are now in persuit of Tyler/Spyder. Downstairs there are another eight dead - nine if they find the body that belonged to the one it is intimated that Barge killed, not to mention Barge's various body parts. All in all an icky place for the forensic team, I think. Maybe Dallas won't be hanging around for the cops to see, this one will take some explaining....

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Yeah, it would. But I think Fuj would prolly bribe Lone Star to take their time since he planned this whole trap thing, realzing Hiroshi's cortex bomb and gunfight with number 2, 3, 7 & 8 would make some noise. I will post something tonite or tomorrow.

Damien- I shall email you with edit suggestions in a day or two.

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Actually, Dallas has some useful connections both corporate and in Lone Star if it comes down to it. Hell, officially he and Dawson are working for Lone Star on the ork murder investigation. It's in LS's records I would think. Either way we go, Dallas can handle it. Lone Star isn't rotten to the core, after all, it just has some wormy bits.

By Vengence is Mine (Knight_hawk) on Unrecorded Date:

Nat, since I won't be able to get my email from the address provided here get my hotmail address from Fred.

As to how Tyler would act, as long as he is in his "fog" and believes Spyder is Blaze than he will be more receptive. He would also make a few romantic guesttures (spell check needed badly) since they were to be married. Figure that once he realizes Spyder isn't Blaze he will become unttrusting and very cold. I think that the mention and/or the sight of Dawson should be the trigger.

Any questions feel free to email me. Just realize I won't get to it until wed.

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Okey dokey. Thanks for the info, I shall use it =)
I expect to post tonite or tomorrow.

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Sorry people, I'm a bit delayed with SR once again- this time it's because Gramps is in the hospital. I just got back from Cabrini ER, and I'll be taking a day off tomorrow to chill with the old fart in the hospital so he doesn't freak out.

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

No worries. Glad he's doing better.
I'm working on a post myself, suffice to say my guy will be tied up for a bit - the beuracrats (?) have him in thier clutches, he'll back in the mix soon tho'

By Vengence is Mine (Knight_hawk) on Unrecorded Date:

Was Dallas tied up by them or were they tied up by him?

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Ooooh... Kinky!

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Kinda mutual, KH, if they had their attention on him, they won't be lloking for the rest of the loose canons. Plus he knew they'd seen him, and didn't wan't to tick off LS with a high speed chase when he was driving an unfamiliar truck with a wracked up troll in the back. His remaining there was expediency as well as a deflection of attention. Plus, as you saw, he has a friend on the force :)
Now it's time to hear from the missing...anyone? Anyone?
Oh and Nat, he'll have Lily for that later when he's not so busy, you naughty thing, I think poor Seaton is gonna have to find his own dates.

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

I've been spending most of my free time in the hospital, so I haven't been able to write anything. I expect to find some time this weekend.

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Greyfred! What the hell is Ray up to?

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Ray is waiting for me to post something.

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Damien- I am so sowwy that it took me so long, but I have that SR stuff ready for you. I just need your exact email address. Fred didn't know the exact spelling your your address. So drop me a quick email whenever u can.

As for the rest of the gang, I finally freed up some time to do shadowrun stuff tonite.

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Bless you child. Everything is okay in your world now, then? Or at least tolerable? I've already started on a post-operative post (hmmm) for Dallas. Gotta get that lead out.....gads its been a long day.

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

No, my world still sucks. Gramps is actually worse now, god knows what he's holding on for- it's like he's prolonging this whole "death" think for as long as he can and making all of us miserable in the process. I finally had a nice large block of a saturday to sit down and type. I might have something up by tonight. Once I post it I hope one of our friendly mods will kindly place it before Faye's last post to smooth out the timeline =)

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

No. ;>

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Obey! Know your place my slave or I shall have the butler swive you soundly!

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

No. ;>

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

If I didn't know better, I'd think that you're disobedient simply because you enjoy getting swived by the butler and can't get enough.

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

My post is 90% complete, but I need some feekback from everybody:

How do we want to conduct Tyler's "awakening"? That's really the only thing I'm fuzzy on. Do we want a gradual thing, or an immediate mental recall?

I would think it would be gradual since Fuj's science geeks would have majorly screwed with Tyler's mind to get that type of mental submission.

On the other hand, maybe the shock of the whole "Blaze" flashback was enough to break most of it, and the "Dawson" trigger might be all that's needed to bring Tyler's memories back into their proper order and out of the "fog" that he's in right now.

It probably won't change the plot either way, I was just wondering what my fellow authors would suggest.

So anyway- which one is it gonna be? Need feedback so I can finish my post =)

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

I favor a massive return of memory with possible blackout/dissorienting results. The kick of course is that not all the memories have returned and he has no way of knowing how much of what he has is him and how much is the conditioning. Unstablizing, no?

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Ohhhh... Kinda like mixing wine and vodka *shudder*

Any one else care to share their opinion?

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

No. ;>

(okay, so NOW I'm just doing it for effect).

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

*checks notes* He is now slotted for TWO beatings. :p

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

I think Fred would make a good gimp ;) Wouldn't you agree?

Having Fred "swived" by a male butler if far, far worse than a beating- at least from his perspective. It's one of those "retired" verbs that I've been informed about. It's my new favorite word.

Here's some sentences using "swive"

"Swive thyself, vile bastard."

"It was your wife and the farmer I saw swiving upon the bed."

"I've been months without a good swive. Excuse me sir, where may I find a brothel?"

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

So anyway, back to the point =)

What's everyone else's input on Tyler's awakening?

By Vengence is Mine (Knight_hawk) on Unrecorded Date:

Well as the charecters creator and general deity I'm inclind to go with a sudden relapse but not right away. Let it build up a bit and them wham flood gates open. Yes Tyler knows what Dawson looks like but the conditioning is also still fresh. BTW Nat um, Tyler will regard Spyder with some suspicion/apathy because of the whole Blaze thing. But he while he is cold and "unemotional" he will not do anything to harm her or the others unless provoced. Ok that my two cents. See ya later.

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Damien- So you changed yer mind? You last email you said that while Tyler is in the mental fog, he'd think that Spyder is Blaze, that he loves her and would make romantic gestures (also refer to post -25).

Or do you mean that he would treat her with suspicion/apathy *AFTER* his memories congeal? I'm just a little confused.

But as far as the memory recall goes, you do have final say =) and my post will leave off with him still in the mental haze since you want his revelation to take place later.

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Suspicion OR apathy, which? The former is a definate direction the latter is lack of same. The definition for apathy is 'feeling or showing no emotion... or interest...indifferent'

I just want to know where every one is so Dallas can round 'em up. We have a cool patrol one type vehicle now :)

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

So uh, Damien, could ya address my question (re -2) either here or in email? I want to finish my post soon. Thanx =)

By Vengence is Mine (Knight_hawk) on Unrecorded Date:

AFTER, AFTER, and to Faye's question, both! He won't care what happens to her but he won't exactly trust her either. He may in fact accuse her of trying to trick him. Oh, and I coulda swore I answered those questions this morning but theres no post. HMMM. Oh well life goes on. LA DA DEE, LA DA DEE.

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

M'kay. It is done, all we need is a mod to place my last post where it belongs on the timeline =)

I must sleep soon, need to get to work early so I can leave early and get to my 6:00pm aerobics class.

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Goody :) Now I know where every one is - but poor Dallas is still sitting in his own blood cruising the neighborhood. So who's going to put everybody together again - that gonna be you Greyfred?

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

I don't know nothin' about that Ralph Tayakaki guy, that was Fred's little inside joke- so I vote for Phred to do it, it seems appropriate =)

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Yeah, I thought Ralph sounded familier. I also assume that everyone turned off their radios due to the heavy police activity and possible monitering in the area and not just to piss off the Indian ;) No, Dallas is not in a particularly good mood just now.

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Yup, that would be the reason.

If I had a bullet lodged in my femur and none of my friends seemed to want to talk to me, I'd be rather pissy too =)

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Yeah, seems a reasonable excuse for tetchiness to me.
If greyfred doesn't log on soon, I think I'll see him soon so can boot him toward some Ray stuff - I'd just as soon get going on this again, or at least get us to a point where Dallas can be de-bulletized.

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Yeah I noticed the general lack of Phred around here. What the hell? Did Brenna murder him and stuff him under a rock somewhere? Where'd he go?

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Hmmmmmmm. I think she'd have to use a clever on the body to get it to fit under a rock. Although they live near the water now and goodness know all sorts of icky things float up around that town, so maybe....

Did you know they once found the skeleton of a giraffe at the bottom of the East River - not to mention one or two cars with occupants in their trunks. Just an aside mind you.

Anyway, I'll try and kick some greyfred butt and get him thinking SR story - I think he's obsessing about other things right now but WE know what's important.

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

The East River is GROSS. The dead people in the trunk doesn't surprise me, but I never would have imagined a dead giraffe.

I thought Fred would have a little more time on his hands for creativity =(

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

He claims to be uninspired. I say we have Gianni 'inspire' him a little with the Mickey Mantle issue Louisville slugger - shins only, though.

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Uninspired? Well, that's no excuse =) I'll hold him down, Gianni can slug away with the bat.

Faye- have ya got an email address or somethin'? I was wondering if there was some other option for e-communication besids Lev and our uninspired Greyfred.

By Vengence is Mine (Knight_hawk) on Unrecorded Date:

I'd be happy to take a stab at the posting for the Takiwhatshisname. I just need to know what to do for him I mean I'm sitting here ideas flowing but no knowledge to tie it in.

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Damien- Talk to greyfred about it, he mentioned something about that Ralph Tayakaki being an NPC for some of your past Shadowrun gaming sessions- I am not sure but I think Fred told me he was one of Eric's NPCs. either way, I never played Shadowrun with you guys during that time so I'm sorta in the dark about those character references.

I guess our primary writing tasks (with or without Fred) would be -more or less- getting the group reunited/rehealed/refocused, getting Tyler integrated, get Barge his artificial leg (Spyder could help with that) and of course see if Leilani is still in good shape. Where were they taken by the way? Which hospital did Lone Star ship Barge and Leilani to? Or were they taken somewhere else?

Then we can move on to the "mission impossible" of killing off the GD bosses in Seattle one by one- Crane would be satisfied participating in such honorable work, after all assassination is one of his proficiencies.

Okay, so Faye- since Fred has withdrawn himself, I must ask what you know of the Tayakaki guy- just so I don't remain entirely in the dark =)

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

He owns a sushi bar/karaoke place in downtown. He was originally an NPC for a White Wolf campaign we played in NYC area. Do we have an edit yet for that one post? Sorry, but I'm just not in an overall writing-type mood as of late. You'd THINK I have more free time right now, but whatever time I have is devoted usually to thoughts centered around my current situation. If you really wanna move forward with the story, please don't let me stop you. I had no idea I was so integral to the plot here. Just drop Ray off somewhere, or have him tag along all moody (if memory serves, he too has a bullet-hole in his body). Nothing personal against you guys, but if I keep getting pestered about it, I might just kill him off to ease your burdens of not having me post. Just go on, and I do check LEV from time to time, so if you have anything you need me to do, I can get it done. L8R.

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Pissy, ain't he.
Well, we don't NEED you, we just thought you might want to participate. ;) I have no problem writing for Ray if need be. All I gotta do is find the time.

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

My, my, my.

I have a skeleton edit of Dawson, Tyler, Spyder and Crane at the sushi place. I will hopefully work on it some more tonite.

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

sorry... I'm just not myself lately. Try not to take my ravings personally.

Perhaps a new short-term record for me: 3 posts in one day. What is this world coming to?

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Don't worry about it, I think we all had that bit figured out. We are your *evil* friends after all =) Muahahah!

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

I'm gonna go ahead and post anyway since I actually wrote something. Shouldn't have to big of an over all impact, its just a tie in.

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

okay, reunion time.

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

No time to talk now. read post. Comment.

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Second half of post is up. Think I am out of practise, especially with other's charaters. tried not to do horrible things to anyone. Can't write complete gramatically correct sentences.
Feel like doing some archiving, anyone, takes forever to load on busy days. Brain attempting revolt, must go and subdue it.

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Read post. Post good, me gusta.

Sometime soon we need to have Tyler demonstrate to the others that he's trustworthy (and eventually stable). Damien- what have you got in mind?

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

oh, wait a sec, I didn't read the second one....

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Sorry. Wrote in stages today.

By Vengence is Mine (Knight_hawk) on Unrecorded Date:

Well Nat read my post for answer to question.

Thank you Faye, you led into my post almost perfectly. I had not read yours until just before I was to post mine and I only had to make minor corrections(which I of course expected).

Um, I think it's safe to say all hell's about to break out. Tyler will be out for awhile, probably as long as the conversation takes. But when he wakes up he is not going to be happy. He will be back to normal and a little suspiciouse of everyone including Dawson. As for Spyder he will not like the fact that she tricked him. Tyler is not stupid or unreasonable so he can be convinced it was for the greater good and all.

Later

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Okay, so Tyler has his memory back. Cooly. The brain doesn't have pain receptors by the way. So who is Tyler working for? I vaguely remember something about dragons.

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

I've gone back and counted and it looks like about 6 days will have passed once everybody is up and moving in the morning. That means from the point our guys thought up a possible hit on the golf course, they said it would be golf time in 9 days. I think too much time has passed to get a viable plan for the golf course to fly. Any one else have any input on that? Our guys have been way too busy rescuing Barge to have made any plans, so I think they are at ground zero again. Any one want to address this? Or shall we try something anyway, we could always blow it, or he could cancel, thoughts?

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Yeah, I think our guys need to help up a bit anyway.

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Damien-

Sorry but I really don't quite understand that last post. Could you explain it to me, I'm really lost.

By Vengence is Mine (Knight_hawk) on Unrecorded Date:

Well I hope Crane takes that personally. Anyway this sets up quite a sitiation don't it. Yes the brain has no pain recepters but that doesn't stop you from haveing headaches does it, you took me to literally.

By Vengence is Mine (Knight_hawk) on Unrecorded Date:

The parts with Crane are a type of flashback.

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

You can refer to "the male elf" as Crane in your post; Spyder already mentioned his name to Tyler so it's not like everyone doesn't know each other's names. That confused me very much when I first read your post.

Regardless, I'm even more confused now.

"Well I hope Crane takes that personally... This sets up quite a situation don't it."

That implies you meant the combat part of your last post was not a dream, and actually took place- it also looks like you WANT to pick a fight- And then you say:

"The parts with crane are a type of flashback"

Uhmmm... What? Which is it- a dream flashback or flashback of an actual event? If that whole thing was NOT supposed to be a dream, and your intent was to have Crane attack Tyler as he exited the bedroom, you need to revise your entire post.

My first reason: Starting a physical fight between Tyler and Crane is DETRIMENTAL to our ENTIRE storyline. We've all worked pretty hard trying to find a way to incorporate Tyler into the group of characters, and a fight between the two of them would screw up everything- unless it is your intention to have Tyler ousted from the plot. If group/character harmony is sought, what you've done is take a HUGE step backwards.

My second reason: Crane wouldn't attack Tyler without reason. Even if he did, Crane would not initiate hand-to-hand, he'd shoot Tyler from a safe distance and Tyler would be DEAD. Also, Spyder is in the living room with Crane- where is she during all this? If a skirmish were to take place she'd put herself between the two of them to stop the fight… Or did you magically transport Tyler and Crane into an imaginary room where other characters and plot elements do not apply?

Third: I think it's rather imprudent of you to invent combat between my character and yours (especially without asking me first) when we're supposed to be on the same side!

So no, I don't think it sets up quite a situation. I don't think it fits, it goes against our general plot-line goals, and it has character inconsistencies for Crane (yet again…).

Considering the above, I think you need to revise your post.

By Vengence is Mine (Knight_hawk) on Unrecorded Date:

No Nat, In a previouse draft I had Crane coming up behind Tyler because he wasn't sure of the situation. I never intended that Crane would outright attack Tyler. However Tyler didn't know this and took Crane out before Crane could do anything. However my post was during the middle of the night and Faye already had it being daylaight so I had to rewrite it.

So the post is now from Tylers point of view as it happened. Therefore the flashback is Tyler thinking back on the events. So the events did happen, I figuered Spyder was asleep and Crane was taking his watch as he said he would. But then again you guys know best so go ahead and delete it.

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

I suggest it's part of Tyler's dream state, that it has not actually happened.
She is right about it being a group setback if you want Tyler alive and taking part or dead. Tyler my be one tough mofo but against Crane, Dallas, & Dawson, not to mention Spyder, he doesn't stand a chance. Do you want a somewhat harmonious group working together or do you want group friction, infighting, and fatalities?
I'm sorry but I'm with Nat on this one -- who should btw check her email.
Please regard this as constructive critcism, Damien, I do not intend to cause rifts here, but the plot is a group effort, it won't take much to send it off the tracks if we don't act as a group.

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Don't get pissy, Damien, we're trying to work together here. I'm sorry I didn't see your above post before I posted, though. You have to work with what we write, not just follow your own path regardless of what we write. Is this or is this not a GROUP effort?

By Vengence is Mine (Knight_hawk) on Unrecorded Date:

Yes it is, but as I've said Tyler isn't just going to wake up and go "oh you know these guys have been fun to be with I think I'll stick around."

As has been established before I don't write for your characters well at all, so I try to set up as best I can a situation for the rest of you. However I knew Crane would not out right attack Tyler and I figured that a the room was small. and b Tyler caught Crane by surprise with his attack. But I've been thinking about it and Tyler just doesn't seem to fit in with the group so I'm backing out. Consider it that Tyler has disappeared trying to put his life back into some sembelence of order.

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

So did you actually *hear* the sound of me smacking myself in the forehead? Listen, if you want to write, write, just write WITH us. If you can't take criticism and rejection you won't be making it as a writer anytime soon.

There are a lot of ways to handle Tyler but you have to take the rest of us into account. So I wrote something that messed with a draft you'd written, so what. Do you know how many time I have had to THROW AWAY COMPLETELY whole multi- pages posts because someone else had jumped on the story train before I got there? More times than I can conveniently count on my fingers anyway. The biggest problem with your post was that is was too vague and that you were working in a vaccuum. None of our characters can do much right now without the others, Tyler is no different. If you want a sabbatical fine, if you want to kill Tyler, fine, but if you just pull out, we're going to use him because he's here. He cannot just 'disappear' at this point. That is neither realistic or praticable, and even though this is in effect fantasy, we like to run along the edges of what is feasible here. Besides, Nat is right, we've all put some effort in geting your character to this point as it is.

Tyler could have woken up and tried to talk with Spyder even into an argument with her, or seen the doctors and asked for help, or gone mad and killed himself, or run screaming into the arms of Fujiyama, or ran off to join the circus. Any of these would have been preferable to interpaty strife. do you see what I'm getting at? It's a process, its also a more difficult process because its not a solo effort. So make your choices, but don't take your ball and go home just because you can't pitch.

By Vengence is Mine (Knight_hawk) on Unrecorded Date:

No Faye I have no problem with you posting and making mine not work it happens and I respect that. Nor is that I can't take criticism, it's just that I believe that one should have fun with this and right now I'm not haveing any fun. Not because of you or Nat or Fred but because I know that I just don't have the understanding of the other characters as you do. Before you tell me it takes time I know it does. Look do whatever you want I just feel like I'm acctually holding the group back rather than helping it move forward. I'll talk to you on Sat.

By Vengence is Mine (Knight_hawk) on Unrecorded Date:

And besides Faye I've said I don't write for the other characters well so I try to avoid it.

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Yes Damien. You still need to change your post. No offense, but I simply can't discern what's going on by reading - point of view or not. That fact that you had to spell it out for me says it all.

If you want me to site inconsistencies, here ya go:

1) Crane has a major HOLE in his thigh, so a stealthy approach is out of the question nor would he decide to attempt it. As long as Tyler isn't acting violent Crane wouldn't do more than keep a close eye on him- at most say something like "Up a little early, ain't we?" or something along those lines. If you were unsure what Crane would do, or how he would act, you could have asked me. As for Tyler taking Crane by surprise- I don't think so. All of our characters are too seasoned for that nonsense to be possible. In summary, Crane approaching Tyler in that manner is uncharacteristic and impossible due to injury. Furthermore a fight of any kind between them is going to hurt the plot and you won't be happy with the outcome.

2) A skirmish would wake anyone up in the room, a fight makes noise- simple as that- and Spyder is on the other couch a few feet away from Crane. She'd notice. If you really want that skirmish (and it really sounds like you want it- hell knows why) at least make it consistent with injuries and character locations and personalities.

3) What is Tyler doing on the roof in plain sight? That defeats the whole purpose of having Amos hide and protect our group. It's something that wouldn't go unnoticed by the people in the immediate vicinity. "Hey, what's that guy doing on top of that warehouse?" And don't think word doesn't get around…

Problems:

1)You need to think about how Tyler's recent actions are going to effect things. Do you know what's going to happen? Is that really what you want? Think about it. I don't think you realize what you're DOING to the group dynamic. If you're not sure JUST ASK before you post.

2) We know you have trouble anticipating other's characters. AND I have told you that if you have any questions about how a character will react- JUST ASK THE OTHER AUTHORS!!!!!!! Not ONCE did you ask me how Crane or Spyder would act before you posted that last bit on SR.

5) You admit you can't write for other characters- we know that already. But when we say that you've gotten something out of character/destructive to the story you refuse to edit it and get snippy. Right now Faye and I are telling you that something is VERY wrong with your last post. You can either LISTEN to the critique, or be snippy and leave the post as is. This is not the first time you've made this type of mistake, but now it's worse. You have set things up in such a way that Tyler CANNOT be apart of the group now- not according to polt, setting, and character personas.

4) Once again, no offense- but I DO NOT think you can take constructive crit. We've told you how to remedy the problem- but that's advice you don't follow. So long as you act like this you're correct about holding everyone back.

As for you not wanting Tyler all happy and buddy buddy- I already have a post in progress that takes are of a disgruntled Tyler in a polt-safe way- so you needn't worry.

As for writing being "fun", when it comes to collaborative fiction that's not a guarantee. I've been frustrated sometimes too- it's not all wine and roses, but I make the most of it and find myself enjoying the ride.

By Vengence is Mine (Knight_hawk) on Unrecorded Date:

Ok Nat now that I have taken a chance to sit back and reflect I agree with everything you say. I have also come to the conclusion that I am deluding myself by thinking I can take criticism. I would love to edit the post but I don't have the ability to, I don't mean I personally can't edit what I wrote but I can't edit it on the site. So just have Fred delete it, it was a mistake and I apprieciate both yours and Faye's comments.

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

Wow.

That, ummm... Was, educational?

Perhaps everybody should cool off and take a step back and put things in perspective for a minute? Let's not make enemies over a group story here. I shall do whatever you decide as a group. I haven't been writing for Dawson recently because my mind has been elsewhere. Damien, please send me an email, you have the address. Nat, Faye, you too please. I want to try to mediate this thing so everybody is happy... Agreed?

By Vengence is Mine (Knight_hawk) on Unrecorded Date:

Nat just ignore my last post, I have asked GF to delete it.

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Okey dokely.

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Hey! Nothing has changed in SR. Bunch of slackers! I was expecting whole new vistas to explore, but no, the editor didn't edit, and the authors didn't auth. Big pout.

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Sorry Faye =) I've been addicted to black & white recently.

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

huh? where am I? what day is it? who are you people?

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Go back to sleep Fred.

By Funk Sol Brother (Sol) on Unrecorded Date:

OK! Funny, I thought I had no VAXMig. Go figure!

was suggested that the new story be started in a new topic. So here it

Sitting out on an astroide..

A man in dark armor, His eyes were glowing red and he carried a huge
battle axe.

As one took a closer look inside the armor was noting more than a
skeltion with fire for eyes.

As the man stood up.. looking at the others who had jumped through,
he had nothing to worry about, for Gods do not need worry about Paradox
and such mortal things, the just staired off into space, the stars
shining trough the eons of time.

"I hate it when people post an ending."

That was the only word he spoke and then he fell slient waiting for
a new post to come, for a GOD, time ment nothing...

Aryk...

Then the materialization of ship called CLUES came into full view. Upon
the main battle bridge sat Sherlock himself..A man mighty in war with
cunning intellect and with the first officer, WATSON talking with the
botson..
"Co-ordinates indicate that this is the place sir." said the Pilot.
"Security, sensor scan of this sector!" said Waton.
"Sir, I am showing a threat, 100 kilometers off the port bow. Replied
the Security officer.
Sherlock eyes widen and then narrowed. "him...the one we've been
searching thru out this galexy! Watson, keep this distance! Wepons
officer, bring all arms to bear, but only fire on mine or Watson's
orders! Watson, You have the bridge." said Sherlock and disppears into
the turboshaft with an aide.
"hail mary and may all the good ness of the light Go with the Mighty
Sherlock! You heard the man, boys. Red Alert and sound General
quarters. Keep the sheilds up. Transporter Room, keep a sensor lock on
our Captian at all times!" said Watson.

Departing from the turbo shaft, Sherlock was pulling off the uniform
and going to a strange doorway. 'Danger: Special Weapon's room.
Captians only!'. A Darth Vader's Computerized voice spoke: "Stand to
and speak who you are or be lazered to death!" a menacing gun appeared
out of no where, ready to atomize as if a wrong word was spoken.
"Capt. Sherlock, Steve..Captian of U.S.S. Clues. Password: WARRIORMAN!"
after an eye scan and hand print regcognizion...The door opened with a
female voice "Thank for shopping in Weapons R us!"
Sherlock enters the room and an aide rushes up to help Sherlock put
on the armor of light from the energy cases. Once completed in full
battle armor and the sheild of eagles resting in his hand, the energy
sword of Light and a light sabre round out the preparations.

Walking to the transporter Room, Sherlock enters the room and the
transporter chief stepped aside as the aid took the controls. "Engage
the full weapons once when transporters begins to transport me to the
astroid. My armor will supply life support. Keep me on lock all times.
ENERGIZE!" said Sherlock.
All around the room, the transporters cycled and hummed. At once,
appearing on the astroid, Sherlock spoke thru the universal translator.
"So, Dark Night..Shall it be we battle Once more, or doth ye yield? I
could use you in my future combat challenges." Said Sherlock.

The Dark warror, with the great gleamin battle axe just slowly turned
his head, and looked at Sherlock. The god himself was a huge in build
and it seemed that he was more than ready to destry this bug that came
across in his path, but then the eyes of red flame turned to blue.

"Ohh come now, And why would I surrender to you, Have you forgotten
that I can easly destry your whole ship and you with it with just a
fraction of my power, For I am a GOD of time and space.. " and then the
man just turned away form sherlock and staired off into the stars,
but then he turned back to the man who was standing with him out on the
satroide, and spoke nicely.

"However Cute post, I kinda like it."

Aryk..

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

this confuses me. ;>

By Funk Sol Brother (Sol) on Unrecorded Date:

BTW, Auris in the D&D adventure is the name of the Continent that the PC's live on!

Sol

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

I need to know what if any languages all of our SR characters speak and how well please. I've been starting to think SR ideas again. Oy.

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Spyder-

Fluent & Literate: French (first language), English, Elvish and Cityspeak.

Enough to get by: German.

Teensy weensy bit: Japanese (mostly swearwords and slang)
***

Crane-

Fluent & Literate: English (first language), Elvish, Japanese, Korean, Cityspeak (and hybrids), Spanish, Chinese.

Enough to get by: Scottish Gaelic, Welsh, and Salish.

Teensy weensy bit: German & Danish.

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Sorry for not being active in writing for SR recently... Things are still crazy at home and gramps is still in the icu.

By Vengence is Mine (Knight_hawk) on Unrecorded Date:

Tyler speaks German, Japanese, and English.

By Bryan Cummings (Houdini) on Unrecorded Date:

Crane speaks Elvish ?

Would that make Crane a "Elvish" Impersonator!

"Thank you, thank you very much!" :)

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Bry, that was just plain SICK! ;)

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

Dawson speaks fluently and is literate in: English, Spanish, and Latin.

Also speaks cityspeak with regional coloquialisms (dwarf, Ork, Troll) as well as some japanese and chinese.

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Help! I have never watched The Tick. Who is the blue gnat? Is that Tick's sidekick?

By Funk Sol Brother (Sol) on Unrecorded Date:

Oh, well, the Tick kinda looks like a big blue gnat... or maybe more like a big blue tick... hey anyone want popcorn?

Sol

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

The Tick's sidekick is Arthur, he wears a big white moth costume. I loved the original Tick cartoons, but I hear they screwed the creator big time with that series.

Other defenders of the City include Sewer Urchin, Die Fleidermouse(sp), and one of my favs American Maid whose pumps are used as projectile weapons.

And thanks all for the language input on all our primary characters. (Latin? Just in case an ancient Roman dragon shows up?) I just had the germ of an idea floating around.

Dallas, btw, is fluent in Cheyenne (1st language), Arapaho, English, and French. He can get by in cityspeak and is picking up a bit of Chinese (Cantonese). If I work out this thought, you all will be the first to know.

By Funk Sol Brother (Sol) on Unrecorded Date:

Ranger,

Wasn't there gonna be a Tick TV series? You know, live action? I heard about it,then nothing since!

Sol

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Yeah, Sol, I heard they were trying to put together a live action Tick movie, but I'm not sure if it ever got past the idea stage. Kinda wonder how they were gonna do it, Tick being Tick and all.

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Faye, you rock =) But you already know that, right?

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Why thank you.
:)

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Hey! I just re-read my SR post and there's a line missing. Right after Crane calls her by name it should read 'deliberately derisive tone.' Why did that happen when the whole thing was a cut & paste from word in one big chunk?

I wrote that the way I did so you, Nat, could slip in anything about the fight or its lead up you wanted to. It's easy to slip in a prepost or a post post on that one, I think.

My brain is starting to function again, but the thoughts are percolating up very slowly.

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

I feel like my brain is made of lead today. Why did I stay out till 4:30am last night? Faye, tell Eric he made me use my brain too much last night... oww.. ;>

I might write something for Ray in the near future, but an unexpected trip to Rochester area has sprung up and I needs ta be leavin early in da AM tomorra... Yikes.

Sol, Angie, Darren: if you guys want to do anything while Brenna & I are in town, let us know. We'll be here tonight, up there mid-afternoon tomorra. Prolly staying around till sunday, then coming back. Send off an email or give us a call. Maybe we can get a movie, or just hang out and catch up, yah? perhaps even plan the next big Gathering, who knows? Anyway, blah blah blah, talk to y'all L8R. ;>

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

I'm gonna be junking the old SR stuff I started a while ago but never finished because of the circus scenario at home. I'm not happy with it, and it hasn't been easy to THINK lately. The drama! Stop the ride I wanna get off!

Anyways, I'll see if I can type up something that I like this time, or rework the old cruddy stuff I had into something more new =)

By Vengence is Mine (Knight_hawk) on Unrecorded Date:

Hey GF could you do me a favor and edit my May 3rd post so that Rouge is Rogue as it should be. Tahnks in advance.

By Bryan Cummings (Houdini) on Tuesday, May 29, 2001 - 04:58 pm:

I am thinking of getting involved with the Shadowrun story once the current chapter runs its course.

Think the party might have a use for a techno-illusionist?

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Wednesday, May 30, 2001 - 04:34 pm:

I haven't been writing recently since I have been uninspired as of late. And also, the story is taking turns I have not yet thought of contingencies for, so I shall remain out of it for a while yet.

Also, I am working again, so I may become inspired sometime soon, or maybe not, I dunno. L8R! ;>
