By Rigel (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Welcome aboard Damien. I think Dawson needs a good enemy to keep him on his toes =)

By the way, my bad. sorry Fred, for some reason I thought Dawson got a new place- didn't Chou's ninjas wreck the place when they ran into Stosh? Or was that some other safehouse? If you want you could use your phenominal cosmic power to change my post and remove the "nice place dawson" stuff.

Caribou, eh?
"you and me baby, we ain't nothin' but mammals, so lets do it like they do on the discovery channel." now I can't get that damn stupid song out of my head. Oufie! Make it stop!!!!!

Nat

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Aaaaaaagh! The All Caribou Network returns.

Actually to clear up a few point - Stosh and Yakov had their own safe house in the Barrens. That was the one the docs were stashed at when the ninja-types hit.

Crane was in Ray's place for about 30 seconds once. The night that Dallas dumped Spyder out of the Matrix and Joey Two Guns got killed.

Is this new guy the new sixgun in town looking to make a name by offing the 'Dawson Kid'? Probably a really bad move :) but a new and ever different irritant for our wayward heros is always a good thing.

By Rigel (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Ah, it all makes sense to me now! Many thanks!

By the way is Tyler working for Fujiyama, one of his bosses or another type of organization/individual(s)?

Come on guys, Dawson isn't invincable =) Lets see what Tyler can dish out =)

Nat

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

We're assuming. He may be Dawson's bastard son - if he's young enough - and not an enemy at all. Maybe he's just shy and not good at socialization :)

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

I posted a little action scene for Ray today. I figure it's wednesday, and our little meeting with What's-his-name is tomorrow... Okeydokey? I've gotta figure out what's gonna happen next... Hmmmmm.... ;>

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Aagh! I just spent the last forty minutes writing the meeting! **mutter, mutter** gotta go back...reroute... **mutter**... postpone meeting scene...save Ray's ass...**mutter**
Well, f---, hang on, Dallas will be right there....

**mutter**

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

Sure, just work it into the intro of your meeting scene, Faye... Come on, you knew I was gonna shoot at Ray soon! ;> I enjoy keeping you on your toes, you know... L8R.

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

I've got an idea. I'll post it, you run with it, 'kay?

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

Go ahead... I've got some time today. By the way, you like the scene I wrote? I was thinking of 'Payback' for the end sequence with the van...

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Hey look, I got the italics right in my SR post! First time for everything.
I'm picturing Li as more of a community guy rather than a vicious criminal. His crimes are there, but incidental, he'd rather run the community center which just happens to be run out of heroin proceeds, that kind of thing. He's a busniss man who's busninesses include drugs, rackateering and the like. No saint by a long shot but not irrideemable either. We can use him and his group as much or as little as you want. Most tong societies have gang level members who act as soldiers. I figured Li is headquartered in perhaps a spa or the like in the Chinatown district....Seattle does have a Chinatown doesn't it? No matter, it does by 2070.

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Oh, BTW, Dallas called Ray 'Whiteman' *gasp* (if i got the lexicon right)

By Vengence is Mine (Knight_hawk) on Unrecorded Date:

Just for the record I haven't decided all of Tylors past or ties right now, but as my post hints at it's high up.

If you do include him in a post he is a white human male about 6'10" and wears black armored clothing.

His cyber wear includes
Cyber spurs(retractable)
Smartlink
Cyber Eyes
Flare Compensation
Low-Light
Retinal Duplication
Boosted reflexes (level 2)
Titanium Bone Lacing

He is former military and very good at what he does. I guess he's a taller wolverine type charecter. He carries a silenced Areas Predetor II.

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Um, 18 or 40?
6'10" is 15 inches taller than Dallas....

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

6'10" is 8 inches taller than Dawson.

Whose badge does Tyler have?

Retractable spurs: one blade per arm or 3?

Humanity rating? Like, .25? Ugliness factor?

He's almost a full conversion borg.

Retinal duplication: simple, fixed unit, or one that can replicate? (replication models are more expensive and cost more humanity).

Sorry for all the questions. These are details I may include if I ever post for Tyler in the future. (I like details). Right now, I think you should post for Tyler exclusively, to set up his personality (if any) ((just kidding)) ;> so that if we decide to post for him later, we can do an accurate job of it.

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Oh, man, you broke Dallas' car! :D
I'm gonna do just like you said and let Ray do the meet with Amos, so you write it, at least the intro, once I get the direction you want to go, I can take some.

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

Spring cleaning today. Will write some later... Bosses are watching...

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Maybe I'll get them into the office, but you gotta do the talkin'

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

okeydokey.

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Can you tell Dallas is interested in Lily? All he'll be doing is accepting a bath, and nothing else. Never refuse courtesy after all. You can let Ray get a sleazy as you want though. :)

By Vengence is Mine (Knight_hawk) on Unrecorded Date:

Well theres a bit to chew on. Hope its ok with everyone else.

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Hmmm. So McNeil is alive and in the hands of the baddies? Shite, now I have to come up with a body ID that will explain why Dallas mistook it for the doc...a relative perhaps....
Back in a bit.

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

Ray is gonna do some on-his-own stuff for a little while. Just a little bit of legwork and a bit of false clues can allow for the removal of Fujiyama, with all the blame lying on somebody else, ore even something that doesn't even exist... I also wanna try and figger out what's going on with the mass grave, as well as the soybean conspiracy/NYC Yakuza. I hope Dallas and Spyder can play nice... ;>

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

Huh? What are the odds Ray would steal a car from another guy with a thick German accent... Or was it actually Ray who Tyler spoke to--but if it was, how could Ray be stealing the car? Ow. I think I burst a blood vessel in my brain. Everything getting fuzzy... Can't move left side of body... HHhuuuurrrrrgh... >thump<

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

I'm just trying to keep things lively.

Don't forget, Li's White Tigers are out there on our guy's side. And the bolt hole is just that - I don't think any of our characters want to sit underground and let things happen - it's just a place to go to get a few hours shut eye without waking up dead. Dallas sure as hell isn't going to spend much time there, what about Spyder?

By Rigel (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Arrrghh...

Ok Fred, get out of my brain, this isn't good at all. Will send u email.... Me very tired.... Me very frustrated!!!!!!!!!

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

Wow. Nat has some really good stuff. Just so you know, Ray is only doing reconaissance, and setting the environment to be favorable for a Fujiyama assassination. Personally, I think it should be a group effort, if we do it at all. Also, we must think about the next villain if we remove Fujiyama from the game now. Just my opinions, which are always right, of course... ;> L8R!

Oh, and Damien--I disguised Ray because I don't want him to be found just yet. Maybe after we geek Fujiyama. L8R.

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

You guys post whatever--I just wanted everybody to know not to include Ray for a while--he'll be in contact via phone/radio/whatever (probably through Dallas). Nat, I like your story--just try and break it up into smaller posts, and allow some concurrent development from Seattle in between the New York stuff. I think our ultimate goal is to work the Fujiyama assassination as a complete team--which we actually work very well as, when we work that way. We would make a perfect infiltration team. Since Crane is in NYC, Ray is on recon right now, when Crane comes back, Ray can lay out the info, and Crane can 'hatch the plot' to the rest of us, and we'll then move on to Nat's lovely limo scene. I'll put Ray behind a high-powered rifle somewhere up on a rooftop, and I dunno where Dallas would be. Sound good, all? L8R.

By Vengence is Mine (Knight_hawk) on Unrecorded Date:

GF I figured that was the case with Ray, thats why I didn't have Tylor go out and grab him. I just wanted to have that movie type "Oops just missed him" scene.

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

HEY!!! I just had an idea for ya Damien! You could have Tyler get nabbed by Fujiyama's guys, and they could interrogate you on why you're after Ray, where you've looked, who hired you, whatever... Seeing as how you don't have the info, they might try and make you extinct, resulting in a nice little fight scene. Then you might be able to convince the group you're running from the Yaks, and we could all be running from the baddies together. And yes, the bad guys would notice your pursuit. You're not being very discreet about it, after all... How was Star Wars Monday?

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Hey, that's not too bad. Mr. Reynolds could make a large dent in Fujiyama's minion horde during his escape. Is it something worth considering, KH?

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

Dawson regularly carries 2 guns. His primary weapon is an Ares Predator with an extended barrel-slide, extended clip, and a laser-dot sight. His other gun is a Colt Manhunter, loaded with hollow tips, and is his "drop gun" (it has no serial number, is completely unregistered, etc.) He seldom uses that one, obviously... ;>

Also, I edited my previous post where Ray tossed the keys to the stolen car up on the front step, blah blah blah. He couldn't have done that, since he HOTWIRED the car. So I had him toss the ignition assembly up there, instead (which needs to be at least loosened to access the wires required to start the car up.)

By Vengence is Mine (Knight_hawk) on Unrecorded Date:

OOOh the plot thickens and a little bit more of Tylors past is revealed.

Mr. Reynolds? I went over my posts and I don't remember giving a last name. Oh well.

Star Wars: "Why do I sense we've picked up another useless life form?" That should tell you something GF.

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Yeah, you gave him a last name - when he killed the Lone Star at the Megalomart.

Most of the stuff seems to be going on concurrently - three or more story threads running parallel. I hope no one is getting confused time wise. I just keep chugging along on my track myself until we hit a junction.

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

I'm gonna wait a few days, and try and come up with a minor tie-in, like Dawson hearing from the White Tigers that somebody was following us, but he was nabbed by the GD (Tyler). Also, some info on GD stuff, as well as the daily habits of one John Fujiyama... I will read now... L8R.

By Vengence is Mine (Knight_hawk) on Unrecorded Date:

That is damn anoying. I wanted to write that last line in Japanese but forgot how to say it and couldn't find my Japanese english dictionary. So until I find my dictionary or some one reminds me how to say it it'll have to remain that lame way. AAAAARRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

Ummmm... Yeah. Mental note: Don't trust Tyler.

By Rigel (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Umm, hey. Does anyone have a few good shadworun on-line reference links? I have been without my sourcebooks for a LONG time and I need to brush up on a few things before I continue posting. I'm not too familliar with Shadowrun anyway =\

By Vengence is Mine (Knight_hawk) on Unrecorded Date:

No GF she's still alive he just hit did it to allow her to continue her mission. I admit it was cold but Tylor is like that.

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

It's been a while, Nat, but I recall having visited 'The Shadowrun Pub' and [I think] Aurora's Shadowrun Page. Sorry, I don't have the URL's handy. There is actually a Shadowrun Web Ring, too. I haven't gone surfing there in a long time, but you'll probably be able to find something. I know there was a rundown of Shadowrun Boston someone created - that kind of thing.

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Here's one I just found on the Japanese Imperial State:
http://www.sainet.or.jp/~fatcat/index-e.html

Plus the page is in the webring mentioned above, so that should get you started.

By Rigel (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Cooly. Thanks =)

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

I wanna start bringing things together soon. Nat, when is Crane coming back?

I think I'll have Dawson run into some go-gangers up on the highway (Nat established them early in the storyline, and nobody really capitalized) especially since he's now driving his GOOD car. If you wanna see a picture of it, along with all the real-world mechanical statistics, go to www.ferrari.com and look in the vehicle index under past models, then scroll down to 1953 and look up the 375MM. SWEET! ;> Oh yeah, Ray has a rigger friend who's very good, and alive because of Ray... Favors are very handy to get cherry rides such as this... Just so everybody knows: I plan on this car being armored, runflat tires, engined tuned to racing standards, as well as the suspension and steering and transmission. This car has balls, I tell ya. B-A-L-L-S BALLS. (Just the base model is sweet, but modified, DEAR GOD!) You get my point.

Faye, if you want, I'll have Dawson pick up Dallas. Or you could have him spend the night at Lily's: I don't care. Just let me know in game, 'cuz Ray's cruising to the rescue... L8R!

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

In game? Heeheehee. I left that door open so we could hook the guys up if you want to. Dallas is Cheyenne enough not to jump into bed with a girl he really likes, so I'm open. We'll probably want to avoid everyone's home for a little bit anyway.

By Rigel (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Yah guys, I'm a little tied up over here. Busy, busy, busy. I will post something tonight, but I need a little bit of time to catch up.

Crane will return in the next post or two, perhaps with a few more people, I dunno, I haven't written it yet.

By Rigel (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Ugh..

Okay, I just posted a bunch of stuff. and now I'm almost up to date. I'm still writing Crane's return, and Spydie's netrun is still in the works as well.

Mee sowwwy. My bad =)

I'm getting old, did I mention I'll be 24 at the end of the month?

cough
*hint*
Cough!
*hint*

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

24? Still just a baby, Nat! ;>

By Rigel (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Eeek, I think I saw a wrinkle!
I don't wanna get old. Would you believe my grandparents are kind of pressuring me to get married, kind ironic how they won't let tme socialize =)

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

I reordered the last several posts by Nat, keeping them in order with each other, but spreading them throughout our other posts (to make it more of a parrallel storyline). I think it works out well, and very soon, within the next couple of posts, in fact, everything should be tying together nicely. I know for a fact that Nat still has some stuff to post about Crane's return and Speedy's death and stuff (I'm privy to advance notification on such things) and I also see she has begun the idea Eric had by having Hiroshi defect. So, Faye: whattaya think? Is Eric going to write by proxy for our new villain? Lemme know. I'll call later (my dad's birthday tonight). L8R!

By Rigel (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Thanks Fred =)

Happy birthday daddie!

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

I really don't think Eric will write anything, he just stirs the pot...

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

I just read everything, I had not noticed you actually put in a time frame, Fred.
I was working under the assumption that Dallas' date was the night of the day they met with Seaton. But from what everything else that's been going on, I think the meeting was the first day of two and the bolt hole camp and date were the second day of two.
I'm just trying to work out the time to my own satisfaction, you know how I am about these things. Is this assessment about were everyone was?

By Rigel (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Yah I noticed the time thingy. I just went ahead and posted all my stuff anyway because I was too lazy to change my posts =) Luckily Fred re-ordered them for me =)

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

Been watching Die Hard, Damien? ;> I think the c-12 explosions might do some significant damage, there, big guy. 3 floors at least would be totally destroyed, and the explosion would probably break glass for several blocks around the place, as well... Just some observations. Very soon, I will post a Dawson action-scene on the freeway with some go-gangers. They make nice squishing noises when you run them over... ;> L8R.

By Rigel (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

I agree, in shadowrun c-12 is like really potent stuff. A teaspoon would go a long way.

I loved die hard three.
"Charile you're gonna be wearing that chair up your A$$!"

By Vengence is Mine (Knight_hawk) on Unrecorded Date:

Actually no I didn't think of the similarities until you pointed them out. Maybe I was thinking of them subconciously. Mainly because I've only seen the movie as a whole once.

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

Faye, I edited your last post--Ray was already back into the car, so it wouldn't make much sense for him to get back out and then in again. So instead of smoking, I had him roll down the window and lean out, then back in; which is also very Dawson-like behaviour. L8R.

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

I archived Shadowrun... Not anything related to chapter breaks or whatever, just the first 32 posts (Dallas' date seemed to be a good place to split it up). I wanna get a good chapter resolution in the next 10 posts or so, so we can stay consistent with right around 50-60 posts per 'book'. Sound good? L8R.

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Sorry. Missed that bit. Thought he was still standing. Not at my best. Working OT on my day off. The dirty *&%(#@*!

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

John Fujiyama is a vp at Renraku, correct?
Danny Mcneil was a tech at Aztech, correct?
And our Fuchi bad guy, Annette is now dead.
Are all my ducks in a row? I got confused by some of the wording in some posts.

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

I think so. ;>

By Rigel (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Sorry guys, but it looks like we'll be waiting for Crane a little longer. Remember, patience is a virtue =)Oh by the way, I found his character sheet, he's got a humanity rating of .5....

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

Uh-oh. Crane have no conscience? Even Dawson has one of those--only he ignores it... From time to time... ;>

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

***sigh***

By Rigel (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Well, lets say he's not *entirely* without conscience. He does have one, he just rarely reveals it and finds it easier to neglect than some people.

Oh and if you think 0.5 is bad, I should probably tell you that Spyder has a rating of 0.3. She makes for a good corp exec (which she used to be). Speedy's the most humane of the group with a rating of 1.

I'm also thinking about rolling up stats for Miter, that should be interesting... =)

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Luckily Shadowrun does not deal in cyberpsychosis as Cyberpunk does. If it did both Spyder and Crane (And I'm guessing Tyler) would have to be put down like rabid dogs sooner rather than later. :)

By Vengence is Mine (Knight_hawk) on Unrecorded Date:

Yeah Tylers probebly somwhere around .01 humanity. A regular ball of sunshine and warm cosey feelings for his fellow man.

By Vengence is Mine (Knight_hawk) on Unrecorded Date:

The fight will comence momentarily but I want time to work it out since it will be really really dramatic.

By Rigel (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

I'll bet Tyler's great at things like family reunions and community service =)

By Rigel (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Ok, Crane's back and he looks ridiculous.

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

Alright.... FAMILY MEETING!!! ;>

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

Well, I wrote a little addition to Shadowrun. Ever see the movie Showdown in little Tokyo with Brandon Lee and Dolph Lundgren? No? Good. That entire scene was completely my idea and uninspired by that movie in any way shape or form. If you have seen the movie, then... Ummm... Kewl movie, huh? :> L8R...

By Vengence is Mine (Knight_hawk) on Unrecorded Date:

Wahhahahahaha hahahahahaha ahahahahahah hahahahaha.

I do love to write for the dark side. I hope my post is alright with the rest of you and if not. Fred please adjust it. I didn't want to step on your toes but it seemed to fit so well. And if I hadn't... well who knows.

By Vengence is Mine (Knight_hawk) on Unrecorded Date:

I did mean that if anything is wrong with it adjust it of course. Not that you should adjust it right away.

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

These Imps - always want to be in control - well tough tooties :p
Trinj may have a hand-me-down lightsabre, but he sure doesn't have the training he'd need to deflect all the blaster bolts Haran could chuck at him before he closed enough to use it :D it's to her advantage at this point that she doesn't trust him enough to turn her back on him. I'd say you better do something to make him trustworthy or we're going to have one hell of an interparty fight going on sooner or later. ;)

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

I guess I better read Star Wars, huh?

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

Just trying to tie things up and get everybody together who still wants to be together. How will Haran react to Julian, and how will Julian manage to get on board the ship? Stay tuned to find out... ;>

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

Ummm... Damien? I've noticed that you seem to be writing off all your Star Wars characters... Why for you do that? I mean, ultimately it is your decision to make, and I'm not complaining about it, but it just seemed odd that you would take such strides to remove your characters from the story. Something wrong?

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Hmm. So much for my 'beat the crap out of each other until their friends' plan. But then now I have to deal with TWO of Fred's characters, oy.

By Vengence is Mine (Knight_hawk) on Unrecorded Date:

The battle has taken place. GF would you be so kind as to insert that after my last post as to make it more congruent with the time line I'd appreciate it.

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Boy, oh, boy, the McNeil clan is taking quite a beating this time around.
What say we get our little counter conspiritors back together and cause some gratuitous damage now, eh, gang?
And I still have the ork killer lurking in the background if anyone wants to play there, I'll be getting back to that, but as it stands it is at sub-plot status.

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

I wish I had more time to write. Maybe today I'll do a little something for a couple topics...

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Hey Nat, I used Spyder briefly, but just as a bridge. It seemed to work better that way, and as you said, she did not believe the reports. :)

By Rigel (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Yeah, I had Spyder mess Danny up pretty bad. She's got her PhDs in computer engineering and programming. I had an idea that since biohazard labs are airtight- and in the the shadowrun timeline they would be computer controlled- she could technically develop a little computer bug to trap Danny boy in there once his entrance was logged and then cut off his air supply.

Faye, I don't mind if ya use Spyder, you're really good at writing her and Crane in character. So I trust she's in good hands =)

Gratuitious violence sounds good to me. I'll see if I can develop Matsumuri and Maeda in my next few posts. I'd been meaning to do that for a while, but I just never got around to it. Let me know what you guys have in mind.

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Okay, Fred, I believe now's the time for Dawson's plan to be heard - whenever you have the time to write it, of course - and for any nasty ideas our characters have for cancelling various tickets for that matter :)

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

Hmmm... Lemme think aboot what ta write, an' I'll prolly have something by this afternoon. I'm thinking I wanna run this thing kinda like a mission impossible scenario, I'll interject other people's opinions and expertise when necesarry... This is all so exciting.

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

I was just pulling stuff outta my ass for that last post. If anybody has any other ideas or if they wanna change anything, speak up. This is a fluid thing here, all...

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Brainstorming session in progress, folks.
Keep in mind Dallas will object to any plan where innocents are among the body count, surgical strike is his preference. Remember, a hit is just about a polar opposite from his usual style.

By Rigel (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

The link to Crane's real name is extreeeeeemely hard to find...

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

...And if anybody knew what it was, it would be Ray Dawson... ;>

Always making things difficult, huh Faye? If Crane can wire the limo, all we gotta do is blow it and Fujiyama's done. We may need an on-site backup in case he has an explosion-proof pod around himself at the time... Remember, we ARE the authors--the GODS of this story's world... What we write becomes reality... I could have John Fujiyama die of a brain aneurism in his sleep, now couldn't I? ;> L8R...

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Hey, I'm just trying to keep things lively. Your plan was too 20th century - they have much better toys in the 21st c. Shadowrun world.

I just remembered that Dawson was once a LS Shadowrider, Nat, and had read Crane's file. Shadowriders weren't an elite unit for nothing.

And if is the operative word when daling with any of fujiyama's security - I just thought a little effort should be expanded, maybe something sneaky- like, maybe a (you'll forgive the expression) 10 Little Indians Scenario with John and his bodyguards. That's why we're brainstorming. :)

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

Hey, I just noticed that Tyler has been causing a whole lot of trouble in an arcology for the better part of maybe 2 days now... Do we think mebbe there's a chance Spyder may have picked up any weird alarms on her way through any of the secure computer core systems, at least while researching Fujiyama or killing Danny-boy? That covers both Renraku and Aztech... And if these scientists are truly working for Fujiyama, they'd be in Renraku, no? Just brainstorming. I figgur it's prolly the only way to bring Tyler "into the fold" as it were. If he finds us on his own, not only would it be highly unlikely, but also highly confrontational... Which would be detrimental to somebody's health (from the looks of it, NOT Tyler's).

By the way, can Tyler still be killed? Just wondering. L8R. ;>

By Rigel (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Mebbie, but I'm busy writing for the bad guys right now... Unless something about Tyler was put in Johnny's datebook...

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

Perhaps an inspection of the facilities would be in there?

By Rigel (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

hey- you're god, remember?

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

Don't tell me things like that... It goes straight to my head, you know...

I AM YOUR GOD NOW!!!

By Rigel (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Anyone have a needle to deflate Fred?

By Vengence is Mine (Knight_hawk) on Unrecorded Date:

Now Fred you're forgetting that when it comes to being a god I fit in at the top (my parents didn't name me Damien for nutin'). Just Kidding. Tyler can indeed still be killed but the damage would have to be severe and I'm talking taking his heart and sending into the crusher severe. Fear not I have plans to limit his capabilities, remember if you read the post carefully the doc said he'd be under their control when the process is done, obviosly he broke out before that.

Besides you don't think they'd build a super weapon and not prepare for an eventuallity like this. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Just to clarify though Tyler no longer posseses the following.

Cyber Spur
Smart Link
Cyber eyes(At all no mods)

However he still has the bone lacing and since the boosted reflexes is completely irreversable (Like my raincoat) he still has those.

More to come soon.

Ray Dawson's last know where abouts were in a car shredder at a scrap yard - that's still the current information - and likely to be what Tyler gets.

Damien: Should I proceed with what we discussed on Saturday, or do you want to keep your posts as they are for now?

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

Had to think of a good name for Dawson's gun... ;>

By Vengence is Mine (Knight_hawk) on Unrecorded Date:

Fred go ahead I'm working on the interim pieces now but forgot a disk and still don't have a connection at school.

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

alrighty... They shall go away (the previous 2 posts, that is).

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

I've been meaning to post some stuff for our villains on Shadowrun.

My bad, I haven't gotten off my butt yet to do it.

Maybe soon I'll have a few twisted ideas pop into my brain.

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Is Crane now a happy camper? :D I thought he'd want to make inqueries, he couldn't just let Spydie's speculation lie there.

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Crane always tries to be a happy camper on the outside. You were right, he'd be curious. Thanks for covering the topic for me, I hadn't gotten around to writing anything recently =)Naughty!

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

I'm thinking up a post right now... I hafta work out the details of what's going on, where it's happening, etc. etc... It'll prolly get written by the end of the day...

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

So there it is. If Spyder wants to find it, it is a very secretly funded operation in the highest levels of Renraku, which has been in progress for at least the last six months. Maybe Randy left a bit of data unencrypted, or maybe John Fujiyama wants Spyder to find it, but this is the place where I've put Tyler and Samson (sorry, Damien, had to move the plot along some). Kind of a "weapon X" program... The first 18 subjects are kinda "Universal Soldier" in concept, although I may give them cyber-spurs, titanium bone-lacing, and heightened senses. Also, I'll probably give them a juicer rig or something (you know, the bio-comp and injector collars) so the muscle stimulants and nanobots can be regulated in the bloodstream... Downside: frequent visits to the "tank" for reconstruction and mental conditioning, as well as a shortened lifespan due to the strains of a high metabolism. This is currently being held in check by lowering the metabolism while in the "tanks" until the subject is nearly comatose, and thusly more receptive to suggestion. Upside: supermen. You all saw Universal Soldier, right? Only make all of them pretty much like Wolverine (with the spurs, bones, and senses). Bad-a$$... L8R.

I'm taking Dallas on a little tangent for a bit. He's starting to feel guilty about not investigating the serial killer so that's where he's gonna be for a while. Everybody hooked in to our shadowrunner radio network?

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Blaze, huh?

You know, my roommate Celeste has a brother named Blaze, and he colored the tips of his hair fire red. Since the rest of his hair was jet black it looked really cool. Then again, Blaze is a cool guy.

Coincidence? Hmmmm....

*wink*

By Vengence is Mine (Knight_hawk) on Unrecorded Date:

Nell Little, huh. Been watching Rocky Horror Picture Show have we.

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

No. It was a Dickens reference actually - Little Nell - see? Ye must borrow where ye may. ;)

By Vengence is Mine (Knight_hawk) on Unrecorded Date:

Little Nell was also the name of the actress who played Columbia in the movie.

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Yeah, that bit of information was stored in some scary and dark closet in my brain and your comment let it out. I'm sure she was referring to Dickens, too, though. Now are you gonna get the nails so we can get that closet shut again?

By Funk Sol Brother (Sol) on Unrecorded Date:

Nat,

I like the bestial heart poem! Ugh, distasteful and yet oh-so-true all at once. Are you sure you didn't write it? ;) You are a great poet, this I know!

Sol

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Alas, I did not write it- but thanks for the compliment! It was Stephen Crane who wrote it. My boss quoted that poem and I thought it was very cool and I asked who wrote it, so he forwarded me a link to the following site:

http://govschl.ndsu.nodak.edu/~egleave/poetry/crane/crane.html

There are a LOT of cool, dark poems on that site. It makes for a good read.

My boss is very cool and well read. I just hope he stays that way =)

Shadowrun thoughts: How much information on our intrepid quartet has been passed back to the GD chief? As I recall not much, Chou played his cards close to the vest and Fujiyama is into cover up so as not to look incompetent. Depending on how this plays out (i.e. how thorough our guys are at eradicating the menace) there's no reason for them not to resume their Friday nights at the Inferno. After all GD is a self contained criminal organization not a global corp - true they have recruited from the yak and tong, but once they are GD, I'd say that remains seperate. I was thinking that the foray into Seattle was the first expansion outside of Japan. GD chief is in Japan isn't he? I think our guys will pretty much have to triumph utterly - if not with a body count than with honor debts and other tricks of the trade....

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

I'm assuming that the GD has international reach through it's corporate members and the Yakuza. Whether or not the story represents their first venture outside their mother country, I would lean towards no because it would take an amount of time to organize its members for any operation- especially considering the scope of Fujiyama's project.

How well Fujiyama is covering up the present situtaion, that's up to everybody. But the GD would at least be aware of Dallas and Dawson since Chou had orders from GD to make sure they were killed.

I'm sure we can all agree our protagonists all know too much to be left alone. Crane doesn't think Fujiyama or the GD will let up, especially since they got to Speedy. That's why he's concerned that he won't be able to have his old life back, and would have to resort to a more permanent disguise to keep the trail cold unless he moved. But don't worry about that he's not going anywhere for now, and he can deal with using disguises =)

As for having to kill everyone at the top, that's also up to everybody =)

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Well, I'm all for a conclusion that won't inconvenience Crane in the slightest ;-D

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

I wish I had more time to write. Maybe after DSL...

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Yah! after DSL you can do stuff at home, that is whe you're not doing that other thing...

By Bryan Cummings (Houdini) on Unrecorded Date:

I'm hoping Fred can get DSL soon so we can have a new home for Lev, one that is the protective care of Greyfox perhaps?

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

Yah, I just got an email telling me my phone number is available for DSL service, I just gotta call up and get it connected. Now all I need is a big ol' computer and we'll be all set (I don't think it would be a good idea to run LEV offa me laptop...)

I will send the directions to me new place via email either today or tomorrow... It's just like getting to my old place, only it's further inta NJ. Give yerselves an extra hour-and-a-half to get here, M'kay? L8R!

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

is it this weekend or next weekend? I forgot...

By Bryan Cummings (Houdini) on Unrecorded Date:

Next weekend... :>

More random violence for Ray Dawson. The cut isn't life threatening, but it'll need some stitches and/or some kinda magic healing. I'd call it a light wound. I'd prolly call the broken arm guy a moderate wound. The smartgunner suffered two serious wounds, and poor Squeak took a deadly (so did the headshot people). Ray is losing blood, however, so he'll need some drinkage before getting back on his feet. Tell me what you think... ;>

Faye, great writing so far. Is Dallas gonna need some backup on this one, or is gonna be a solo run for him?

Nat, lemme know when you wanna do the Fujiyama thing, okay? I'll try to get some time to write for it. L8R!

By Subcriminal (Nat) on Unrecorded Date:

Crane can do Ray's stiches if he wants. He's got a medtech skill.

I will need to talk you guys about what we wanna do for the Fujiyama stuff. I wanna get a few posts in for our bad guys before we get into it =) That way Fred will have some writing time =)

Come to think of it I don't have a whole lot of time to write either now that I'm working... Then again, I'm getting paid now, so I guess it's a fair trade =)

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

I don't know yet if Dallas is going pure solo on this or not. I haven't yet figured out who or what is involved in the murders (well, I have a rough idea, of course, but it has not gelled quite yet) but whatever the case, you guys do not have to wait on him before attemting the big switch off on Fujiyama, Dallas knows that he would be strictly background on that anyway. Whatever happens if there's a big blow up for GD in the works he'll be along. And if Ray's unique talents are called for out in Redmond, Dallas will give a shout, don't worry.
Hey, how is the letter bomb/long distance assasin drone technology out to Japan in the sixth world?
