By 21st Century (Houdini) on Unrecorded Date:

What is TOPICal nonexistance? :)

By Who yo Daddy? (Sol) on Unrecorded Date:

Ha ha ha! Sweet! :)

lev archives, huh? That could be a cool way to include all kinds of interesting tidbits past and present!

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

Sol, Do you want to contribute any more character entries for your VAXMigrator characters? I was thinking of writing one for Data, Lal, Solenoid, & the EMH, but didn't want to step on your toes. So, I'm offering you the chance to write these entries. Also, I copied a snippet you had previously written about A'akra Naenor--could you perhaps elaborate on that one a bit more? Many thanx in advance on that one, buddy. Cya!

By Who yo Daddy? (Sol) on Unrecorded Date:

Really? Mail me the Aa'kra Naenor. I will add entries for more of my characters when I get the time, never fear!

Sol

PS - I was interested to see that Naenor didn't show up in the VAXMig guide (Sol's) but then, he didn't appear until the very end. I wonder if I have a more updated version of the Guide that includes him?

By Who yo Daddy? (Sol) on Unrecorded Date:

Oh! There's the snippet! Cool! That just about sums it up, really - I'll see if I can clean it up a little!

Also, Bry, I think you were trying to add an entry on TOPICal Nonexistance, but it would up in Chatterbox... yeay?

By 21st Century (Houdini) on Unrecorded Date:

Well, TOPICal Nonexistance is a storyboard phenomenon. Since this topic is Story Topic Discussion, I thought it appropriate to post here.

By Who yo Daddy? (Sol) on Unrecorded Date:

Oh, yah, good point!

PS - ask Darren what his Good News is!

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

Sam Jarrah seems to currently be suffering from TOPICal nonexistance... Hmmm... ;>

By Who yo Daddy? (Sol) on Unrecorded Date:

What's a Basestar look like? Funny, I always pictured it as being perfectly round!

Sol

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

I shall put an entry in the 'Ship Types' sub-category right now...

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

Faye, are you online today? Ask Eric if he wants to write that post we were talking about, with Nimitz and McBride... I set him up for it. Or, if you want, I could write it--although I was planning on writing the follow-up for it (with the crash and the 'evolution' thingy. He'll know what I mean). For those of you only attempting to guess at what's being planned: Read and find out! Nimitz is about to get a whole lot Badder...

I'll ask.
I'm waiting for Danse to start annoying everyone in Star Wars too - he's so good at that.

By 21st Century (Houdini) on Unrecorded Date:

When are we going to start up in the Matrix again?

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

RE: The Matrix...

Ummm... Not to be too critical, Bry, but I'm noticing that Jazz seems to be a tape recorder: he seems to spew out quotes from the movie at every opportunity, most recently, from Cypher. I liked the developmental post you made, with Jazz contemplating the dead child... It was original, and kewl. I would try to avoid allowing such a potentially kewl character to degrade to what others could percieve as a 'movie parrot'. There's more to the universe than the movie--let's go explore it! ;>

I know we all fall victim to the movie-quoting bug... I know I do it every now and then. I try to keep it in mind, but sometimes there's just nothing more appropriate to say. I try to work around it, though, and add some 'meat' to the post, rather than let it be a stand-alone movie quote. Am I being too nit-picky? I dunno. Just an opinion--take it for what it's worth... L8R!

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

I had Vagabond pull Sonya out and I wrote alittle post concerning the battle on the flight deck of the St. Helens. I hope you all enjoy it! If I'm right, there's gonna be a little bit of a surprise for the pilots and marines left standing down there... Any time now... (Evil Laughter echoing through the entire room)

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

Is an octagenarian an 80-year-old? Just double-checking... ;> I'm uninspired for Ray Dawson right now--kewl as he may be in a fight or in figuring stuff out, we pretty much already did a buncha fightin' and figured out what we needed to figure out. The next step is some kind of resolution--and the primary characters are really in no shape at all for a final, epic, dramatic confrontation with the big bad guy. Thoughts? How much do we need Nat aka Crane/Spyder to finish this story arc? Where do we go with the sequel? Motivation, Direction, Inspiration... I need all 3 to write in Shadowrun again.

By Who yo Daddy? (Sol) on Unrecorded Date:

Yes, good rescue by Jayce! I thought it was perfect! I just re-read it. Sonya can stay unconscious for now, as long as she's rescued!

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

Actually, Vagabond did most of the work--but Jayce also contributed a bunch... Kewl, huh?

By Who yo Daddy? (Sol) on Unrecorded Date:

Did I say "Jayce?" You know what I meant!

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Yeah, my last Shadowrun post was simply the setup for the RESOLUTION. It's also a nifty window for Nat if she wants/can jump in again. I figure that the big resolution will take a little thought. Maybe we should have a story conference....
And yes it means 80 year olds.

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Jeez, KH, what? You didn't think Haran could have got away from some lame Imperials? Trust me she would have. Even if they'd spotted her, even with a crippled ship, Haran Xenosha would have gotten away, you can take that on faith.

By I am (Knight_hawk) on Unrecorded Date:

Sorry but I was getting complaints that I was getting to powerful in my devices. But I now have plans that will eliminate that problem. I am also introduceing a new character.

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

I posted in Deadwood. I like writing for Brody. Since the death of his wife, he's changed. He's so very very dark... But still serving the law. It's all he has left. For a while he had nothing--except liquor--but even then, he was working as a bounty hunter. A gunfighter-for-hire kinda deal. Now that he's back in Deadwood City, he's decided to serve the law once again. I figure 5 years have gone by, which would make Brody about 33 or 34... In there somewhere. He has seen things that would make any other man just wither up and die... Anybody wanna jump into the plot?

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

I want to put something up for a vote. A re-christening of the VAXMigrator--she's been nearly destroyed, and we're in the process of rebuilding her. In essence, it's like the Enterprise going from NCC1701 to NCC1701-A. Not really a class change, but a major enough refit to warrant a change.

Plus, we're no longer migrating through the VAX.

I was thinking of several names--some of which are based on traditional Galactica-type names, others on mythological beasts/gods/entities/ideals. I thought a good one might be "Phoenix" because, like the phoenix, we've risen up out of our own ashes and grown stronger for it. Also, the crew morale is probably pretty low at this point--a name change may be a good thing to bring everyone together in a hopeful manner. Something like "New Providence" or "Utopia". Another good choice, I think, would be "Orion" or "Agamemnon".

Or, we could keep the name. It's just an idea, after all. Your thoughts?

By Funk Soul Brother (Sol) on Unrecorded Date:

The other side of Alpha-Tori is distant space, AKA "Webspace" or the "Web." Terra Prime (Earth) is in VAXspace. Alternately, we can safely assume that some changes happened when the paradox happened, which I assume. For example, Sol USED to be me when I became older (story was in 2007). Now, the story is set hundreds of years in the future. You won't see me refer to that directly in the TOPIC (people in a changed reality don't realize the change) but Sol is now basically a clone of the "original" rather than the same Sol (who would have had to be alive for 300 years or something). Kinda like DC's Zero Hour.

I wouldn't mind a change to "WebMigrator" or such - the question is what is VAXMig's new mission? If it is, indeed, to rescue refugees, that's one thing. Is it to return to Earth? Or is it to fly around and kick arse? With the VAXMig on the brink of going rogue (with good reason - would you want to follow Nimitz?) it is interesting to consider where it is going.

Alternately, we could return to Earth with Nimitz in chains, VAXMigrator restored and beautiful, and have a decomissioning of the vessel - then join the Starfleet under a NEW ship. We have to remember that the purpose of VAXMig was to get home, or maybe get to Utopia. The reason for leaving Utopia was to find the others that were lost during the paradox, I think.

Pheonix, no, I don't like it - good name, but I have too many associations with that name (I even served in KAG on a ship of that name). I don't want the name of the ship to be dark, tho (armageddon) a name change might be OK - WebMigrator I like, and seems to make sense... but only if we're gonna continue "migrating" - and only if we're going to go on with the computer analogies. I get the idea that you want to get away from that, Fred, and make it more... real (for lack of a better word?)

By Funk Soul Brother (Sol) on Unrecorded Date:

I like "New Providence" too.

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

I dunno... It just seems that we've outgrown the original name... I had no idea the original time-reference was only 2007. I thought it was in the far-far future (I was assuming the original topic happened in the time between Greyfox/Wraith Squadron and now). I was also assuming that the Enigma Quadrant happened during this time.

Yes, Sol--I've been trying to bring a bit more 'reality' to the fantasy-land we've created. The paradox affected the reality of the Universe in more ways than can be realized--which is why we are where we are now.

The mission of VAXMigrator was originally to 'rescue' those writers who felt oppressed in their writing style, being forced to write a certain way or have their stuff deleted. Also, it was a semi-political statement to the MOD's that real, educational, & creative writing existed in the Storyboard topic, as well as the original LEV. The VAXMigrator crashed on LEV-World, when you created your web-site, and Data began the reconstruction. Now, since the new LEV board is up, VAXMigrator became active again--only this time, her mission was to journey 'home'.

Through the course of action which has transpired in-topic, while searching for a new plot, Nimitz evolved. Also, The current environment and politics evolved. This could be explained as a side-effect of the original paradox, with which we ended the first VAXMigrator topic. Now, as we write, and the story evolves, I think we've latched onto a great plot. We become, in essence, the last heroic saviors of humanity.

Just a side note: I don't think Nimitz serves the Confederation Starfleet any more. He isn't the mouth of Starfleet, so if we were to continue serving Starfleet, we definately wouldn't be serving him. In fact, I'd venture a guess that we've been serving the ideals of the Starfleet all along. As far as everybody jumping off and getting a new ship--I believe that through the course of events within the story, that the VAXMigrator has become a character, in as much as the Millenium Falcon became a character in Star Wars. I don't think it would make too much sense to just change ships. I'd also wager that if she were decomissioned, many of our primary characters would just retire.

As far as going rogue--I have plans for that... ;> BattleStars are just such kewl ships. I think the topic is very popular, it's just that I've heard comments like "Well, that's a totally odd name" and "Why's it called that?" Also, the other naming conventions in the topic don't follow the same template.

As far as a new mission goes: I think the first step is repairing/refitting the ship. Then, it should be getting back to Earth. Once we get there, I have a surprise plot-twist. (Look for it! It'll be KEWL!). After that, the mission becomes 'foil the plans of the head bad-guy, and in so doing defend our basic human rights'. That's as specific as I can be without giving away any hidden surprises from the future.

Actually, I'm kinda starting to look at this almost as an online RPG--where I'm sorta like the DM. It seems to be working well, I guess... ;>

Well, I've already written too much. Who's gonna read this long-a$$ post, anyway? Ahh, well--I've spoken my mind. Anybody else have any input?

By Funk Soul Brother (Sol) on Unrecorded Date:

I think it would be cool if Earth ends up being nothing like what everyone remembered...

By Funk Soul Brother (Sol) on Unrecorded Date:

A good reason to change the name, as you pointed out Fred, would be to draw in more new writers. We would probably change the TOPIC's name, too.

I'm up for a change. Working it into the plot is the trick, but work that magic and I'm happy. (Would be a good thing to put up in the weekly poll - Oh! Where'd it go?)

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

There you go, GF, some one new to play with in the old west...

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

Kewl! New characters in Deadwood! I altered the intro. message a little bit, to allow for more historical accuracy (I'm talking about Henry Rifles and 1874 colt revolvers). Also, I'm allowing for 5 years between the original topic and this one. That's a long time, but not long enough for anything too MAJOR to change... Bry, will we be finding out who Mark Johnson--rather, 'The Undertaker' was hired by? Special note: this is not the same undertaker who took the life of Kitten... That was a British poet (picture the mad hatter from Batman) with crooked teeth and a twisted sense of humor. I don't think Brody ever caught up with him...

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

In VaxMig, Eric says you can expect the post tomorrow unless we can't get to a computer, then Saturday...

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

Okey! I'll hold him to that, ya know... ;>

By Funk Sol Brother (Sol) on Unrecorded Date:

Ranger, did I tell ya about NetZero? It is FREE internet access. Of course, you would need a computer first.

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

Okay, WHERE'S THE POST?!?!? ;> (I told ya I was like an editor, didn't I?) I guess I'll call tonight...

By I am (Knight_hawk) on Unrecorded Date:

How about "Foe Hammer" or "Sleeping Dreamer" uh maybe not. "Voids Light" uh maybe I should stop makeing suggestions.

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Couldn't get on a computer yesterday. Our regional computer geek was at work f***ing over the system and we still can't access the web through regular channels - he SO doesn't know what he's doing! A friend is letting me side swipe the system by hooking me up on his aol account. Gad what I go through to get here. I hope you appreciate this, editorboy.

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

I am having a hard time getting this vaxmig entry posted. aol sucks. I'll keep trying...

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Yea! first half made it to the board. Sorry but it's is going up in chunks. part 2 of post coming up momentarily...

By X (Eric) on Unrecorded Date:

We finally got the rest of the post up, but look at the time.

By I am (Knight_hawk) on Unrecorded Date:

Hey GF seriously how about "Atlantia" or the "Pacifica" or the "Solaria". All three were names of war ships in the colonial fleet and the Solaris was a Battlestar as well. Also what about the "Peagasus" the rogue Battlestar that briefly teamed up with the "Galactica" before its commander used it to take out a Cylon depo. Just some suggestions.

By I am (Knight_hawk) on Unrecorded Date:

So hows that for an entrance? Ranger I hope I got Haran right if not oh well maybe next time.

By Funk Sol Brother (Sol) on Unrecorded Date:

X - Great post in VAXMigrator! I will enjoy watching the continued development of your new character! PS - Is Nimitz dead?

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

Sol, you shall find out. Nimitz, as far as anybody knows is dead. Also, Eric, I re-editted the post as you requested--I gave McBride back some of the teeth Faye had inadvertently pulled (Sorry, Faye--ya got it mostly right--just a coupla places that jumbled weird). All in one post now, too. I'll be working on the two aforementioned follow-ups soon. L8R!

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

I am a little swamped at work this week. I don't know if I'll have any time for a kewl follow-up post yet. Good news is: I only have a 3-day week. Maybe I'll write something tomorrow morning, if I live through the commute (if it was anything like today, it should prove to be interesting. Ask me about it sometime).

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

My brain is all tapped out. I need to do some research before posting the 'Ascension of Nimitz'. As far as anybody knows, though, he's dead. ;> I like the new life Deadwood City is getting. With all these new characters in town, I think the bandits would have to be quite numerous, indeed. Everybody, feel free to invent new peon bad-guys and shoot 'em to oblivion--it's what the topic is good for. How do ya like it so far, Keith--errrr, Hickory? ;>

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

What, Faye? No killing? Aww, shucks. I was at least hoping for a tiny fight. Here's a good ADMIN note for me: Alex Brody is my only character in the story. Any of the other characters I may have created for 'ambience' are expendable in the name of dramatic license. (This means y'all have a license to kill). Expect Brody to watch alot of stuff from afar--his duty in town runs deeper than is easily discernable... I'm thinking of a kewl plot right now. I'll write place-holders for him--do try to avoid getting him drunk. He's much more lethal that way. ;>

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

Also, in case it hasn't been made quite obvious by now: Alex Brody is a tiny bit of a loner--don't expect him to be all hugs and friendly welcomes... Thank you. ;>

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

I just set 'em up for you gunslingers to knock down. Besides , Matthias is more of a knife man. Thaddeus shoots people. Besides, as you know, sometimes - most of the time - my board time is very limited. I gotta think about the killing parts.

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

PS, Keith--if you want more info on Alex Brody's background and stuff, e-mail me. I'll give you what you need to know. Also, Brody doesn't have one foot on the dark side--in fact, the Law is pretty much all he has left, after his wife was killed 5 years ago. Well, the Law and the Bottle. Well, mebbe not so much the Law as the pretense of upholding the law by removing unwanteds and being paid for his efforts--you get my point. Think of Bruce Willis in The Last Boy Scout for the general attitude. He's bent really really far--almost in half--but he still hasn't been broken.

He's definately not the same person he was five years ago. L8R!

By Tough as an old (Hickory) on Unrecorded Date:

The Deadwood City story has potential and it is getting my creative juices flowing again. I am anxious to see where this story goes.

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Jeez, a golden op for a shoot out and you guys just slide by....hmmm....who to shoot....

By The Great (Houdini) on Unrecorded Date:

I'm going to post in deadwood, but I'm going to rework/revise Mark Johnson a bit. Maybe i'll have some time this weekend for that. I hope.

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Ooops. GF you called Roagan 'Jayce' in your last Star Wars post. Which, by the way was almost exactly what Eric was going to post...

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

I told you I was psychic. ;>

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Hmmmm. Sol, I appreciate your wanting to portray Haran a little more sensatively, but it's really not in character. She does not work and play well with others, and until someone takes a bullet for her, or at least stands at her back in a fight and doesn't stick a blade in it, she won't think of the them as companions just cargo or in some cases annoyances. She tends to make a habit out of not being impressed by much, she is exessively well traveled and hence a bit jaded. Just as an aside, she wouldn't know a light saber from a socket wrench, remember Jedi have been non-existant during her rather poorly educated life and their lore suppressed. She has not done the research your Gran has.
Just trying to open a window on her charater.

By Funk Sol Brother (Sol) on Unrecorded Date:

Just trying to do a little character development.
We'll assume that she knows what a lightsabre is since Knight Hawk said, "I want to borrow your lightsaber." Did I make Haran seem friendly? I wasn't trying to write her that way. Maybe the idea of seeing her tools flying through the air (this is really the first time the Gran has revealed his powers at all) might have surprised her into a minor comment? That was my thought. I was sure to use adjectives like "carefully" when she responds to him to indicate that she is more suspicious than friendly.

Please read my post again - do you think it is very inappropriate? I will be happy to change it if you still find it to be unsuitable.

But true, there is always a certain risk whenever someone writes a post for a character that is not theirs. For example, Maee Vees was not really keeping his lightsabre on his belt, but hey, whaddya gonna do?

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

No worries. I was just illuminating her shortcomings for all and sundry.

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Part two of the Shadowrun epic slides in under the new year - Now we know who that female voice was talking to Lerner, everybody has had about two weeks to heal, and the plague SEEMS to out there but not nearly so deadly as was foretold - so is it really the plague? Will Nicolette live to see another day? Is Dallas still sleeping on Dawson's couch? Did Dallas find his own place or did he finally call his contact? Are they still going to save the world? Are they even now being fitted out in spandex tights? Stay tuned, we may stumble across a conclusion for this one yet....

By Funk Sol Brother (Sol) on Unrecorded Date:

re: VAXMigrator

I hear we have a visit to planet Zarkon in our future... howabout an away mission? I wouldn't mind a chance for us all to unwind on a friendly planet for at least a little while.

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

Alrighty. Let's fix the ship first, tho. Philo can help us do that. I may just do a fast-forward post, passing about 3 months in order for everything to happen. McBride could be recovering by then, and the St. Helens could be cut loose and sent adrift after being scoured for valuable tech. We need to move this along just a little--the story has been stagnant for too long.

By the way, great post, Sol--I like the forboding, forshadowing effect it has. Why was Sol's record changed now? Read on, and all will be made clear...

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

Shadowrun: Awright, Dawson's back in the game. I'll lend whatever supporting role you want me to fill in, Faye. Dallas seems to make a better main character, anyway. Not that Dawson isn't a great character--it just gets slightly boring to follow everything from his viewpoint all the time. And who says Dawson can't clean up? ;>

Matrix: Character development is great, but Swipe is gonna be better at stuff in the construct at this point, rather than in reality. He's a fast learner, and absorbs intellectual stuff like a sponge, but his idea of 'fun' is actually going into the construct and training... Testing his wits and 'skill' against Treat's programs. He's an extraordinarily competitive sort, too... I think he's got a father/son or teacher/student rivalry going on with J.D. At it's worst, I'd consider it a big brother/little brother rivalry. But that hasn't been fully developed yet.

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Dawson cleans up, Dallas is, as stated, just "prettier". Besides, he is the one trained as a body guard.

Swipe was jus feeling a little "homesick" is all - it was just a shoehorn to get us moving toward Zion to get that out of the way. I've been thinking about the first matrix run a little...

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

BTW, I think Dawson and Dallas are gonna need Sawyer Fielding - I believe, however, that the Fujiyama/Annette Fielding targets are being set up on the field...

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

I'm working on a Shadowrun post... I've been under-inspired for some time now. I need to think of a good little event which will fit into the new setup. I need to read again, very carefully, who is who and what's happened so far. Annette Fielding is Sawyer Fielding's ex-wife, who is jealous of Nicollette Sayeva (who was boffing Sawyer, right?) So she orchestrates with Fujiyama to get the virus designed. On the other side, she plants the seeds of dissent with Diane Scanlon, who takes matters into her own hands, and unleashes the virus prematurely...

That's just working from memory. Help me out a little, here--It seems we're close to a resolution. L8R!

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Sounds about right. I introduced Annette so we could have something to tie all our problems together. My thinking is that Fujiama would have done evil things anyway as would Scanlon, the policlubs, etc. She, however orchastrated all of it mainly in an attempt to destroy/steal face from Sawyer and Fujiama and put her own career on the rise. So she's the most evil since she actually has no convictions just ambition. Sawyer is an impediment, real or imagined, and Fujiama is a rival. Plus this way we can work toward one of those showdowns you're so fond of with either Annette's or Fujiama's people. If Sawyer survives he can be an outstanding contact for Ray and Dallas in later adventures.

We can discuss this later if you want, maybe hammer out a direction unless you want to just keep going off the cuff. I think I'm gonna let you take care of Ray's stare down with Takahshi's people, though...

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

Actually, I was envisioning Jet Li's character from Lethal Weapon 4 when I described the little oriental guy. He's more than he seems... Perhaps a stepping-stone tie-in who's loyal to someone other than Takahashi? Like Fujiyama? ;>

I think the little chinese guy is gonna be the Ray Dawson showdown. Later, tho... I need to set it up properly--and we still need to get close to Fujiyama before that happens, anyway.

It sounds like Sawyer might end up coming out on top of this situation--he's the least involved with manipulating others. Diane works for Fujiyama (on the Policlub level). Annette is simply waiting for the Drek to hit the fan, and then she's gonna spin it in her best interest. Who knows, mebbe she's even got a team working on the cure to the superflu with an inside track, since she designed it, huh? EVIL! ;>

Feel free to give Dallas' perspective of 'the meeting'. I was under the assumption that Sawyer is dealing exclusively with Takahashi in a series of dealings in which some transaction happens. I dunno, make it up. As in all business dealings, it obviously isn't gonna get settled in one meeting. So, Even though we technically met with Takahashi 'yesterday' we're gonna be meeting with him until Sawyer can close the deal.

Besides, we need to work in the tie-in, no? ;> L8R!

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

I wrote the next post. Tell me if it's too Mel Gibson/Jet Li-esque... I like it. L8R!

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

Star Wars: I'm thinking of pulling out of this topic, due to lack of time/inspiration. If you guys want Rogan, take him. If not, kill him off. I don't care. It might be better to leave him hangin around somewhere, and if and when I get a chance/inspired to write, then I'll write something for him. That's all. L8R!

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

I made a little Matrix post. Hope it injects some action back in there... ;>

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

If Hol is stowing away, walking into the cockpit is probably a bad idea, KH, Haran has spaced people before :-)

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

Faye, I like your Shadowrun post. Where shall we go from here? Takahashi and the 2 Fieldings work for Fuchi, right? Renraku's dude is John Fujiyama, who has ties to Diane Scanlon (are we done with her?) Cosper is in with Aztech... Aztech is assigned the task of creating the super virus by the "coalition" (policlub guys) and Scanlon is used as a low-level, street-type delivery system. If Ray & Dallas hadn't crossed paths with the scheme, it would have been covered up by now. Annette Fielding has been pulling all these strings, using the strong feelings of the policlub guys, just so she can get at her ex and blow the pi$$ outta Nicollette Sayeva--and then I guess take care of all the other little elven bitches by creating the meta-virus. Kewl.

A twisted web we weave, huh? Now we just gotta hunt down everything strand by strand until we solve this whole thing in-topic.

Don't we still need to find a cure? ;>

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

I just read some back-posts: It looks like I was hinting that John Fujiyama and Renraku are actually trying to prevent the plague from being unleashed--but they failed. Perhaps they already have a cure? John Fujiyama got Diane Scanlon for a modest fee of 25,000... What could he have done with her? He IS policlub, but he's an in-charge type, and Diane is very much street-level... Hmmm... Renraku & Fuchi are enemies, but both are oriental, as opposed to Aztech, which is South American--so of course they'd arrange it for Aztech to take the fall if anything went wrong... Correct me if I'm off base here--I'm just thinking out loud before writing a case-solving post for Ray. (like, where he actually figures it all out). L8R!

We havn't even decided if the 'metaflu' is this virus or not - that'll keep everyone on their toes. I have a way of tying Annette to some of the others via Eastern Herbal. Her main goal here is to be top dog and crush those who tick her off. 'Liars never prosper'. Oh, and I believe there's gonna be a body count....

The above was a response to your 9:33 post. Otherwise I'm running through back posts too. I don't think we can wrap things up quite yet... soon maybe but not today.

I think I'm going somewhere with Dawson... Information will start getting through to him soon... ;> You have any brainstorms as a result of our chat last night, Faye? L8R!

How's that. Nice big puzzle pieces right in their laps...

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Continuity detail -- I got the ammo that killed Diane wrong in my post. Correct away if you want.

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Continuity detail -- Annette is behind it, right? Not Diane, check your post, GF, please.

oooops. Corrections noted. I want a dramatic angle on the opening of the meeting. If you wanna jump in Faye, feel free, but I wanna write a little snippet of a meeting between the BIG GUYS before we do the meeting with Annette and Sawyer. Deal? Kewl. L8R!

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Good. I figured the big meeting was 'tomorrow'. We can treat from breakfast on as Friday - wow real time - I have a few distractions to throw into the mix before the meeting anyway. Things are starting to get interesting.... BTW the Saturday meeting will have all the Fuchi players at least you can add to the dance card if you wish. :)

Man, Faye, I'm soooooo busy today. I'm glad I decided to come into work today, 'cuz if I didn't, people would see it as a problem. I gotta go work on lease inventory stuff over in Bergen, NJ--I gotta get a car and everything. I don't know when I'll be posting again--so if you wanna take the meeting post, go ahead... I'm still trying to think of Ray's response to Annette... We'll talk about it. L8R!

By Margravine (Ranger) on Unrecorded Date:

Me too. Gotta put together and script a whole media event for loan to off sites...in two weeks. Nothing like giving me the time. We'll get to the fun writing when we can, no worries. :)

Things I've been thinking about, re: Shadowrun --
The info anyone checking up on Ray and Dallas will get is that 'Palmer-Ree' has been in business for about 5-7 months and had a half dozen satisfied clients but none quite as muckity muck as Sawyer Fielding (otherwise they'd have a rep, right?)(This also assumes the checker is not a decker of Spyder's calibre - then they find out there were no such people prior to the formation of the company - then our guys are in trouble.)
I had Annette go after Ray because he seemed the less likely to be the idealist of the duo. Dallas is still pretty young after all, and she figured Ray might be the one to appreciate gain as gain's sake.
Still pondering follow up[s].

By The One Known Only as (Greyfox) on Unrecorded Date:

I was thinking that she would want Dawson as a double-agent type guy, giving her inside info on what the hell Fielding is up to and stuff. Of course, Ray won't give it to her--and will probably take full advantage of the 'fringe benefits' being offered. Oh yeah, Annette usually uses the 'fringe benefits' to sway men into doing what she tells them too--you know, that whole seduction-desire game. Ray can-and has-played that game. I figure he'll ride her coat-tails, make gobs of money, share her bed, give her the info he wants to give her, and then, when her house of cards falls down, it'll be Ray Dawson standing there with the bottom card in his hands, using it to light a smoke. You get the analogy, right? ;> Ironic, too, since she's the one doing all the using and abusing of others--only to fall to Ray's little ploy.

Oh yeah--we still hafta do that meeting, and Ray hasta fight Chou. L8R!

Sounds good.
Got a beaut of a tie in to bring the hit, Aztech, Annette, and, Scanlon all in on the same boat. I think you'll like it.
Things to do:
Dawson's gotta meet Annette
Gotta have big meeting
gotta have showdown
gotta wrap and reveal - maybe even let Sawyer in on it(???)
Gotta conclude and maybe epilogue.
Did I miss anything?
Gee, I hope some other Levvers are reading this besides us, it's turning out to be a pretty good tale.
