I hate lingo. I don't understand this crud... I'm having myself a problem... I'm sorta grasping parent/child lingo now, but I'm fuzzy on the actorList thingy. I've got a game that plays out on one frame, so the sprites are entirely script controlled- almost no score scripts at all. So on which event should I place the getAt actorsList script? Any lingo wizards out there? Please help this poor little artist who don't know programming to save her arse.

Well, this morning at 9:38 am after running for 18 hours, I am pleased to announce that Lal has solved her first independent problem.

The goal was for her to place her right hand above her head. She did it after only 1200 attempts.

I am going to provide her with a second problem tonight - probably something a little more complicated, like curling herself into a ball.

A related note - Lal also now has her first memories. For those that enjoy the numbers, a night of activity generated 20 MB of memories. Of course, all she can remember at this point are the movements she made, but other senses will follow at a future time.

An exciting experiment! I may be the first on the planet to embark in this direction.

Now -that's- science!
